Job Overview:

Joining the Champaign team is a great way to grow your skills- develop your abilities and delight consumers every day. We are currently seeking energetic and driven individuals to join our team.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Sanitation: will insure that the equipment and machinery he/she works with is cleaned and sanitized according to the Heinz Sanitation Program and rules explained at the beginning of the employment and during refreshing sessions.

  • Perform pre-start-up checks and inspections along with all required documentation

  • Perform minor adjustments- resets- repairs- lubrication

  • Assist during major maintenance- PM completion- root cause- and breakdown analysis

  • Perform changeovers

  • Identify potential component failures and use basic fault-finding to monitor equipment condition

  • Inspect worn parts- bearings- shafts- chains- and sprockets

  • Hold current fork truck license or obtain within 30 days

  • Change fork truck battery when required

  • Documentation of pertinent information where required.

  • Ensure OSCAR boards are being utilized when assigned.

  • Position may include quality checks- including but not limited to GMP- HACCP- and weights.

  • Monitor load tickets on finished product pallets when required.

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma preferred.

  • Prefer experience in production/ manufacturing- but will train the right candidates.

  • Safe work habits.

  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.

  • Maintain an excellent attendance record / adherence to attendance policy.

  • Promotes teamwork.

  • Attention to detail to avoid and/or identify errors.

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Able to operate a fork truck – Kraft Heinz will train.

  • Able to perform tasks from start to finish with minimal supervision.

  • Able to work flexible schedule when needed.

  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.

  • Able to safely work at heights.

  • Able to stand for extended periods of time.

  • Able to understand & follow instructions.

  • Able to operate a computer.

  • Excellent oral & written communication skills.
