Description & Requirements

Purpose

Responsible to lead the accounting processes and to perform accounting duties including period-end closing- meanwhile support and supervise accounting operations related to Accounts Payable and Treasury. The role is also responsible for reviewing and monitoring internal controls and ensure compliance with SOx- including performing the required testing.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Manage monthly / quarterly / annual closing processes.
  • Prepares and reviews journal entries and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
  • Ensure that the accounts are prepared according to GAAPs and KHC policies.
  • Manage the team consisting of accountants and treasury analysts.
  • Ensure internal controls are robust and test them as part of the SOx compliance process. Updates all SOx documentation in the Company’s internal control system.
  • Manage and oversee the external and internal audit processes.
  • Liaise with other functions to establish and sustain the cross-functional business processes to ensure the quality of accounting data.
  • Engage in continuous improvements as a leadership role of NEA accounting and controlling function.
  • Support and supervise AP and Treasury functions where relevant to accounting closing activities.
  • Be knowledgeable about accounting system infrastructure and solve issues facilitating with IT team.
  • Engage in adhoc global or regional projects such as new system implementation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Selection Criteria:

Must

  • At least 5 years proven experience in accounting. 
  • Experience in process improvement is a strong advantage.
  • Business level English.
  • Strong motivation to develop his/her career and ambition to have future controller position.
  • Ability to organize own work- set priorities and meet critical deadlines.
  • Must be flexible- organized- able to work in a fast-paced environment- have good communication skills and the ability to work with people and project a positive attitude.

Desirable

  • Experience in US GAAP.
  • Experience in food or consumer goods industry and dealing with inventory accounting
  • Experience of managing accounting processes for import/trading business.
  • Experience in SOx compliance.
  • Experiences of dealing with external authorities- like auditors and tax authorities.
  • Knowledge of accounting operations (AR and AP).
  • Strong IT skills in Microsoft Office- particularly focusing on Excel.
