Position Overview:
Reporting into the Associate Director- North America Manufacturing & Operations Accounting- the Logistics Accounting Manager serves as the Accounting lead of the Canada Logistics processes. In this role- you will work closely with the Logistics Finance and Logistics Operations teams- and you will be responsible for financial controls- cost- and month-end close processes. The Logistics Accounting Manager will be responsible for more than $100 Million of spend in the largest food distribution center in Canada.
Responsibilities:
The following are key projects that will be owned and executed:
- Manage month-end close process within SAP for Canada Logistics
- Reconcile Canadian Logistics Balance Sheet accounts
- Manage & maintain distribution center financial team site
- Provide ad hoc analysis on financial postings as needed
- Conduct self-assessment audits and manage all internal/external audits
- Identify and initiate process improvements
- Collaborate with the US Logistics Accounting and Finance teams to streamline and ad efficiencies and standardization where feasible
- Work with AP Team to resolve all issues related to invoicing and payments for Canadian logistics vendors
- Training/resolving other KHC team issues related to logistics Ariba POs and invoices
- Responsible for ad hoc Canadian Logistics projects
- Provide support to the operations team for Canadian CAPEX projects
- Responsible for investigating and cleaning up any issues within Canada logistics financial statements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is required; Business and Accounting / Finance backgrounds preferred
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a complex environment required
- Professional accounting designation CPA- CMA- CGA and/or MBA in Accounting/Finance preferred but not necessary for ideal candidate
- Working knowledge of logistics operations- strong experience with SAP/Other Costing Systems- and must have advanced Excel skills
- Analytical- leadership- and communication skills
- Orientation towards being detail oriented and result driven- while also being proactive and a self-starter
- Demonstrated Project and Change Management abilities
