Description & Requirements

Role Overview

Sitting in the Growth & Sustainability team and reporting to the Senior Manager- Business Development- the Analyst- Business Development will work closely with marketing- manufacturing- procurement- finance- R&D and Quality teams to deliver critical Supply Chain priorities within a specific category.

  • Innovation – Work closely with manufacturing- R&D- marketing- finance- and procurement to provide Integrated Supply Chain solutions to deliver new product innovations. This will involve sourcing strategy- product development- and commercialization. Apply creative problem solving and champion agile methodology to deliver timeline execution.
  • Capital – Work closely with plant engineering team or as project owner to identify and implement capital engineering projects to deliver innovation- productivity- and growth. Project manage vendor implementation and category capital budget.
  • Sourcing Strategy – Work with procurement to analyze opportunities in make vs buy. Ensure appropriate manufacturing strategy and sourcing solutions (internal and external) are in place to deliver growth and innovation agenda within Canada Zone. Initial and ongoing ownership of sustainable and cost-effective Supply Chain solutions- working with in-network plants as well as future manufacturers.
  • Continuous Improvement – Champion efforts to improve our products- services- or processes that will streamline work and reduce waste in our manufacturing facilities.
  • Interdepartmental Communication – Act as the champion and conduit between Operations planning and the business team- ensuring all operational milestones are achieved.  Maintains a superior level of communication between project team members- external manufacturers- internal leadership stakeholders- and vendors.


  • Bilingual - English & French
  • University degree in Business- Engineering or Food Science
  • Experience in Manufacturing/Supply Chain or Research and Development; Food or Consumer Packaged Goods Industry experience would be considered an asset
  • Proven Project Management Experience
  • Strong people management skills- managerial experience to influence without authority
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- working cross functionally across the business
  • Superior analytical- problem solving- and conceptual skills
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Willingness to travel based on business requirements- anywhere between 20-25% within Canada and the US
