These roles are for disruptive transformation gurus who crave a global challenge balanced by the desire to be accountable for significant change.  Those that do not want to get their hands dirty- while giving themselves a headache- should not apply. 

Enterprise Architects have overall ownership for domain technology strategy- digital capability master planning and architecture decisions. The position of Associate Director- IT Enterprise Architecture – Infrastructure- Operations & Workspace is responsible for designing the future of our infrastructure foundations- service operations and primary end-user workspace technology services. The is a role for a technology expert and proven thought leader – driving to build transformational capabilities that will bring KraftHeinz into the future.

You will be the CTO’s CTO. You will own “tech arch” for Kraft Heinz.

Partnering with delivery & engineering teams- you will drive us forward to the next generation of enterprise infrastructure- operations & workspace technologies. You will provide the energy to transform to a new way of thinking. Critically- the next generation of digital natives (and last generation of digital immigrants) are driving seismic changes in expected experiences from all IT services- how they resolve issues- collaborate & share information. This role is for a pragmatic yet visionary technologist with a proven track record in aligning IT services to that future expectation.

Working with Head of IT Strategy & Architecture and in close alignment with Executive Sponsor expectations- you will own:

  • IT Strategy & Master Planning
    • Establish desired 3-5yr Capable (C) & Lean (L) targets- assess the current state- identify gaps- and develop approaches to close those gaps.
    • Own the 2-5yr master plan for your domain- accountable for investments in technical capability.
  • Enterprise Architecture Framework
    • Own technology standards- principles & policies for your domain- ensuring these are kept current & available to solution engineers.
    • Own EA Triage- determining criticality assessment & ensuring template alignment of all projects within your domain.
  • Digital Transformation
    • Incubate & evangelize digital transformation opportunities- drive design thinking- guiding the journey- leading & sponsoring programs from early-phase idea through to their first successful deployment.
    • To ensure enterprise-ready architectures- you may be required to lead first-deployments of new strategic solutions.
  • External Focus
    • Own strategic relationships with capability partners. Influence their agenda to support Kraft Heinz growth objectives.
    • Build our external network- actively scouting- developing & communicating opportunities to improve enterprise architecture- creating competitive advantage for Kraft Heinz.

  • Establish & align mid and long-term Domain IT strategy- with alignment to Corporate strategy- Domain objectives and Enterprise IT strategy.
  • Lead 5yr planning cycle- owning the domain 2-5yr capital masterplan.
  • Own enterprise (business process & technical) architecture; establish- track & drive metrics to improve alignment with target architecture template (Capable & Lean).
  • Lead architecture review board for your domain- ensuring we stay true to our template- while actively accelerating time-to-value- increasing agility and encouraging & rewarding legitimate innovation.
  • Own the domain digital transformation agenda (mission- vision- values) and transformation portfolio.
  • Own strategic relationship management with domain capability partners.
  • Actively scout- develop & communicate opportunities to improve enterprise architecture- supporting company growth objectives.

IT Strategy & Master planning IT Strategy Lead IT strategic planning process- establishing domain-level “where to play” (choices) and “how to win” (approaches)- directly supporting corporate strategic priorities- critical enablers & fundamental capabilities. Partner with domain owner- and their leadership team- to align IT strategy with executive sponsors. Master planning Lead 5yr planning cycle- owning the 2-5yr capital masterplan for domain. Partner with domain owner- and their leadership team- to support the annual AOP funding cycle.

Enterprise Architecture Business Process & Technical Systems Architectures Define & apply capability framework to domain(s). Map desired Capable Maturity & Lean Landscape targets to business cases- demonstrating the value of further investment. Track and report progress vs desired outcomes. Partner with domain IT owner- and their leadership team- to implement capabilities- and adjust templates. Architecture Review & Governance Define & document architecture standards & review processes to actively accelerate time-to-value- increase agility and encourage legitimate innovation. Validate and approve EA-assessments for all projects in your domain. Ensure key projects complete architecture governance review steps through project lifecycle. Support the project life cycle management process (led by IT PPM).

Digital Transformation Leap Technology Incubator Establish a culture of “digital incubation” within wider IT-organization- seeding ideas- drive design thinking- positioning new capability & fostering success with business-ready innovation. Partner with domain owner- and their leadership team- to ensure efforts stay aligned. Enterprise Transformation Portfolio

Own: Own domain-wide transformation projects through to their first successful launch.

Support: Partner with domain owner- and their leadership team- to support transformation projects.

External Focus Strategic Relationship Management Own strategic relationships with domain capability partners. Lead top-to-top governance forums to ensure we stay aligned. Challenge & influence their agenda to support Kraft Heinz growth objectives. Partner with domain owner- and their leadership team- to support spend management / cost saving activities. Connect & Develop Bring a start-up mindset to digital transformation. Foster an external network of “smaller players” & third party thought leaders- developing the potential for breakthrough digital transformation. Build connections back into the IT service/functional leads. Communicate broadly. Partner with domain owner- and their leadership team- to ensure upstream efforts stay aligned.

  • Prior experience in building- leading and motivating an extended team – recognized as an inspiring leader
  • Prior experience of enabling and driving change with a high degree of cultural awareness and sensitivity to enable and deliver change in a multi-national environment
  • Experience leading continuous improvement projects from idea generation to implementation
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision making
  • Experience leading complex projects/programs across multiple geographies
  • Experience in working with 3rd party service providers of multiple types (functional- strategic- operations- BPO)
  • Proven multi-functional- multi-cultural & multi-geography stakeholder management capabilities
