Description & Requirements

About the role:

The Category Development Analyst is a key interface between Marketing- Sales- Field Sales and our retail customers. This role will drive communication- reporting visibility and actionable shopper insights to aid decision-making and identify the most optimal pathway for future Category and Kraft Heinz growth.

The role requires the ability to build compelling sell-stores using scan and shopper data- providing objective insights to help identify growth levers and working with the cross-functional team (Sales- Marketing- Operations) to develop KHC-specific growth plans and engaging with our customers to align objectives.

Responsible for supporting functions in promotional strategies- as well as the creation- activation and post-launch assessment of NPD.


Range Review Process

  • Support the Category Development Manager on range reviews for the portfolio- as well as lead on a select number of categories. Support the development of sell-stories and detailed plans for range reviews and layouts- with timely and structured communication and alignment with key stakeholders through the process.

Planograms & Assortment

  • Support the Category Development Manager with the optimisation of planograms and product assortment across the portfolios by customer.

Business Planning Cycle (Category Strategy)

  • Support the creation of 3-year category strategies identifying Category Value Drivers. Contribute relevant shopper insights in monthly routines and strategic planning process.

About you:

  • 2+ year’s Category Development experience / Ideally with large FMCG desired
  • Customer-facing experience (ideally supermarket customer)
  • Strong IRi scan/panel / Quantium Scan & Checkout experience required
  • Advanced Excel and Power Point required
  • Promotion and/or range modelling
  • Store Layout software such as Spaceman- JDA- Apollo
  • Bachelor Degree – Business- Marketing or retail discipline is desirable
