Description & Requirements

The Category Development Analyst (CDA) is responsible for contributing to the Category Vision and helping build our Strategy & Sales Execution Principles of their assigned Business Unit (BU) to the Retailers and Sales Team. 

The CDA will analyze- collect- and combine various data sets and research to be the voice of the shopper to drive brilliant execution at retail across the country.  This role will be customer facing coast to coast- and will require a strong background in strategic thinking- problem solving- mass data management and manipulation and industry leading analytic shopper data solutions.  Experience with data extraction- analysis and presentation is a must due to the high volume and time sensitive reviews they will work on.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to:

    • Shelf research lead and experienced project management

    • Perfect Shelf definition- target (AOP) and customer management

    • Category playbook content development- and execution

    • Five (5) year BU Strategic Plan & AOP lead by category

    • Category Kits definition- targets- and management of result by item by customer

    • Assortment and Planogram by Customer / Store Format

    • Shopper Behavior Strategy at Category level

    • Merging Customer and Category Strategic plans- Category landscape and performance

    • Portfolio prioritization

    • Innovation sell in (Assortment- Shelving- Price and Promotion)

    • Category decks (Build & Present)

    • Customer Category Vision and Strategy

    • Customer / Channel strategy by category

    • Customer engagement and presentation on all sales fundamentals and research

  • Direct contact with Customer Insights 

  • Customer presentations during sales fundamentals meetings

  • Category Health and Growth

Qualifications:

  • Min 2+ years relevant experience

  • University degree preferred

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong multi-tasker with ability to deliver on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Advanced data management skills in Excel- PowerPoint- and experience working with various data tools including retailer portals

  • Working knowledge of JDA- Tableau (Silver certification)- Kantar- Caddle- Explorer would be valuable

  • Strong working knowledge of industry trends and ability to speak to current events

  • Strong storyteller to explain complex business problems and the optimal solution to solve

  • Excels in the integration of customer- shopper- and category information to build an optimal strategy and vision to deliver the triple win (Customer/Category/Consumer)

This role can be remote or hybrid (office + remote) and flexible on location. Kraft Heinz offices in Canada: Toronto- Montreal and Vancouver.

Competitive base salary + bonus + company car.
