About the Position

We have an exciting opportunity to work In the UK World Foods team- looking after Amoy. Leading one of the most well-known brands in the category- you will own the day-to-day running of the business- covering Marketing- Commercial and Category Development- as well as being the key contact across the business- working with the cross-functional team to execute the long-term strategic plan.

You will build a deep understanding of the consumer and the category and become the ‘go-to’ person for all things Amoy and Oriental- helping us to become the #1 brand again.

The role would be perfect for a passionate- driven individual- who enjoys building relationships and collaborating across teams. The ideal person will have excellent organisation skills to handle multiple priorities and stakeholders at once and is comfortable dealing with ambiguity- as well as being a strong communicator- being able to simplify and influence in kind.
 

This is a great role to build on existing marketing and sales/commercial experience- and perfect for taking your strategic planning skills to the next level with the full backing of the World Foods.


In brief- you will be responsible for;

Category and Brand Strategy

  • Supporting the development and execution of the 5-year category/brand strategy- selecting the key category value drivers and relevant consumer insights to inform the long-term innovation pipeline and associated brand support to drive internal (NSV/CMA) and external performance (retail sales/value share).
  • Collaborating with Category Development- Sales- Finance- Consumer Insights to take innovation ideas from concepts to reality

Brand/Shopper Planning

  • Growing brand health- ensuring Amoy is successfully placed across the 6Ps (Proposition- Product- Pack- Price- Promotion- Place) to deliver overall objectives. 
  • Create engaging comms to drive brand awareness and penetration growth
  • Planning both in-store activity and high-level comms- helping to drive trial/shopper penetration and consideration to support the long-term growth of the brand- achieving strategic objectives
  • Collaborate with sales and shopper marketing teams to develop customer-specific execution plans in line with strategic objectives.

Range Review Process and Customer Engagement

  • Lead range reviews for all customers- showing a deep understanding of category/brand performance drivers- using data to build compelling stories- make recommendations- aligning with customers’ strategic objectives where relevant- illustrating category expertise and helping to land Amoy’s commercial objectives.
  • Preparation and engagement with customers for key meetings

Planograms and Assortment

  • Optimising planograms and assortment with key customers

Qualifications


Hard Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or similar) 
  • Prior experience in Category Development- NAM or Marketing
  • IRi scan/Kantar panel/Retailer Loyalty Data platforms advantageous
  • Advanced Excel and Power Point
  • Promotion and/or range modelling (desirable)
  • Highly numerate and strategic thinking with the ability to analyze market- category and financial data to identify key trends and recommend creative solutions
  • Fluency in English is needed
