Just Spices

Just Spices became a subsidiary of Kraft Heinz in early 2022- with the goal of making it easy for consumers across the world to cook delicious meals with their innovative spice and meal prep solutions. In this partnership- Just Spices will bring the culture and know-how of an agile- innovative- DTC-led start-up- while being able to leverage the scale- resources and know-how of Kraft Heinz in the US market.

Position Summary

As the Commercialization Project Manager for our US market and one of Just Spice’s first US employees- you will be co-responsible for launching and executing the operation of our business in the US. This role is responsible for bringing Just Spice’s US expansion to life- driving the commercialization of the product in the US market across the finish line- and as we continue to innovate and launch new products. You will collaborate with cross functional parties at all levels of both the Just Spices and Kraft Heinz organizations- including DTC- Marketing- R&D- Operations- Quality- and Finance. In addition- you will play a key role in the project management of the overall US expansion roadmap and will be expected to provide regular updates on progress- cost management- and next steps to project sponsors and key partners- as they work to drive the project forward. You will work closely with the GM & COO of the US market- and the Kraft-Heinz US team in this position to craft an expansion strategy- execute on the plan and help build out our US operations.

Key Components of the Role

  • Lead the commercialization / launch of Just Spices products in the US market and manage project governance
  • Engage- facilitate- and manage stakeholder in order to shape the expansion strategy and plan for Just Spices to launch in the US market within the next year
  • Be the interface to Kraft-Heinz US in order to push all necessary to-dos forward
  • Run cross-functional teams across Just Spices Germany and Kraft-Heinz US in the development and execution of project objectives to meet all go-live- revenue- cost and capability priorities
  • Resolve or assist in the resolution of unique challenges within and between cross-functional groups; develop methods to supervise and report project progress and provide corrective action as needed
  • Manage system and process set-up work-tasks as the need arises and support the continuous improvement of Just Spices US processes through collaboration with key partners
  • Support in establishing US-based procurement- logistics processes & operations capabilities

Qualifications

  • A self-driver who can carry out the organization & execution of complex multidisciplinary projects from start to finish
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in startup expansion (e.g.- BizOps)- project management- management consulting- or similar role; preferably with experience working with international organizations
  • Strong analytical and execution mindset – thrives bringing order to ambiguity
  • Someone who likes to strategize- plan and deal with multiple stakeholders
  • Likes wearing multiple hats in a fast-growing ambitious startup environment; experience in a food & beverage startup is a plus
  • Exceptional communication - written and presentation
  • Experience in navigating US regulatory and legal complexities is a plus
  • Experience in working with cross border teams is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Hands-on mentality and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ease and flexibility to manage variety of  topics
