Description & Requirements

We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Communicator to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. The Communications Manager lies within the Northern Europe (NE) team and is location in our Shard office.

You’ll be working in a high performing team- alongside peers always trying to reach the next level. You’ll be reporting into the Director of People & Performance with close relationships to the NE Leadership team and Communications Lead.

The delivery of a comprehensive Internal Communications and Engagement Agenda as well as PR and external comms initiatives will be your primary responsibility. You’re constantly looking for improvement activities within the current NE business and will bring your own creativity and passion to drive the Moments that Matter within our teams.

In brief- you will be responsible for;

  • Creating- cascading and executing our internal communications plan- working with the People & Performance team as well as the Head of Internal communications to ensure our communications plan aligns with our global and Zone business strategy- and effectively communicates our Purpose- Vision and Values.

  • Drive the timely and effective communications around organizational initiatives and announcements- ensuring all employees and stakeholders are effectively communicated with. You will also have to help respond to internal and external crisis situations and issues that may impact employee well-being and engagement or company reputation and ESG

  • Develop content across our key channels- including newsletters- senior leadership communications and messaging- external channels such as LinkedIn- and other internal channels. You will drive the development of forward-looking content in partnership with teams from across the BU- ensuring consistency of messaging and quality of all written and verbal content

  • Partnering with our Senior Leadership- Talent Acquisition and Corporate Affairs teams- you will develop effective external communications across key business channels (e.g. Linked In) to promote our reputation as an employer of choice

  • You will support in the planning and management of key organizational events such as Town Halls- Business Huddles- BU Conventions- etc.


Hard Skills and Capabilities

  • Significant experience managing internal and external communications- corporate communications- issues management and stakeholder engagement- ideally in a fast-paced global commercial organization or in a client-facing role

  • Degree level education- ideally with a background in public relations- journalism or marketing

  • 6+ years of experience working in a public relations / marketing communications function

  • Strong project management and leadership skills with outstanding organizational and planning skills

  • Strong communication skills- both written and verbal. You must have a strong command of the English language and the ability to simplify complicated messages

  • Comfortable communicating with all levels- and able to instill confidence in senior stakeholders and peers

  • Skilled in dealing with sensitive- complex and confidential issues and situations

  • Confident in providing strategic communication advice to senior business leaders- including message trainings- media / stakeholder briefings and coaching

  • A familiarity with Corporate Social Responsibility communications

  • Commercially astute and able to align your objectives with that of the wider business

  • Self-motivated- able to work autonomously: a bias for action- reliable- excellent presentation skills

  • Confident bringing new ideas
