About the Role

Here is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the top tier Global FMCG companies in Australia and New Zealand- become part of a super energetic and fast-paced marketing team driving iconic brands such as Wattie’s- Heinz- Chef- Gregg’s- Eta and next generation favourites like F.Whitlock & Sons and Plant Proteinz.

In 2022- we are establishing a new internal sensory insights function with an in-house sensory capability center in our Melbourne office. As such- we are setting up two internal consumer sensory teams (one in Australia and one in New Zealand).

As an Insights Manager- you will be required to drive the voice of the consumer for our Marketing team by developing meaningful insights for our brands and business decisions and in doing so- champion and promote our consumer-first values. You will also manage various insights projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage quantitative/qualitative/desk research studies (both on-going and ad-hoc)- including issue identification- briefing- results facilitation and embedding insights into strategy across the brands in your care
  • Analyze and synthesize learnings from research- drawing strategic conclusions- and recommendations that are meaningful
  • Collaborate- communicate and present research insights from multiple data sources effectively to relevant cross functional stakeholders in an impactful and engaging way
  • Collaborate with brand teams on project success criteria and the post evaluation of marketing activities
  • Manage facets of the Insights budget to ensure the greatest impact of spend while maximizing outcomes  

About You 

  • Minimum 5 years in marketing (or marketing related) ideally with time spent in packaged goods environments and within Insights teams
  • Ideally a background in consumer/market research- sensory research- consumer insights- marketing
  • Must have a passion for consumer behaviour – to understand what makes people tick- be a thought leader and naturally curious
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage tight timelines
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data to make recommendations
  • Ability to think strategically and translate this thinking into measurable actions
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Analytical skills and good attention to detail
