Description & Requirements

We are looking for an experience and dedicated Continuous Improvement Lead to join our iconic Hastings site. This role will involve leading transformation analysis and developing control strategies to enable our operators to respond to out of control situations. You will lead root cause problem solving efforts on key chronic losses for the process. You will also coach teams on CIL- CLM- 5S- FPQ- and Oscar systems execution while also help to build problem solving skills within the process. Working with our busy team at our largest site- you will have the opportunity to make a real impact.

About the role

  • Facilitate line loss analysis (waste elimination and yield improvement) and line throughput improvement plans;
  • Lead transformation analysis and centerline definition and associated standard development;
  • Analysis of daily and shift line data to identify and prioritize loss elimination opportunities;
  • Participate in our internal audit program- food safety committee- and sanitary design team;
  • Spend time on the floor gathering information on stops- centerlines and changeovers over the past 24 hours
  • Lead Universal Problem Solving to eliminate chronic losses for the line;
  • Manage centerline and Quality Daily Management Systems;
  • Assist in the implementation of the QRMP program and train others in this area;

 About you

  • Ability to understand and coach management systems including but not limited to CIL- CLM and 5S;
  • Experience in writing WINs- SOPs and OPLs;
  • Can effectively lead RCFA events;
  • Strong planning/organisational skills and communication skills;
  • Intermediate computer skills including- Microsoft Excel- Microsoft Power Point- Microsoft Word- Matrics and ZPI skills;
  • Willingness to become Centerline Management System qualified and Green Belt qualified;
  • A relevant qualification will be highly regarded.
