Creative Strategy Manager- Strategy & Development

This role will sit on the Strategy & Development team in the Meal Foundations & Coffee division- reporting to the Director of Brand Strategy- and be responsible for leading- defining- and championing the strategic vision for some of the most iconic brands in the world including Maxwell House Coffee- Oscar Mayer- Philadelphia- Claussen and Just Crack An Egg.  This role serves as the strategic lead responsible for proactively identifying problems and opportunities to help brands drive consumer relevance. This role will partner with brand leaders across the MFC portfolio to ensure creative excellence- solve business challenges- and provide ongoing thought leadership to drive brand equity.

Key Components of the role 

  • CHANGE AGENT. Responsible for proactively seeking new opportunities for the brands and businesses- informing strategic risk taking- and pushing the envelope to inspire the development of breakthrough brands.
  • STRATEGIC PLANNING. Tasked with identifying problems- uncovering the insights- and proposing solutions. In addition to writing creative briefs- developing communications plans- setting KPIs- and guiding the development of short-term and long-term marketing plans.
  • STORYTELLING. Craft and present points-of-view in the form compelling stories/presentations all while translating high-level thinking into actionable steps/strategic stories and points of view
  • CREATIVE FACILITATION. Provide creative/strategic feedback- lead brainstorms- and agency team discussions to inspire strong campaign ideas and push to execute the best work. 
  • MARKETING INTEGRATION.  Manage and lead relationships- build consensus effectively within cross-disciplinary team to align objectives and ensure holistic brand building- 360 tactical planning and integrated marketing efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (non-MBA preferred)
  • 5-8 years in a strategic role in a creative agency or advertising consulting environment
  • 5+ years experience in brand strategy- engagement strategy- communications strategy and/or consumer
  • Experience leading new business
  • Experience in cross-functional team management
  • Experience working in CPG/FMCG is required
