About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with the ANJ Analytics Team in ANZ to build and deliver data solutions for analytical purposes. You will work alongside other onshore and offshore data engineers, and other data practitioners to design data models and pipelines for analytics solutions. The role will also influence how we leverage data in the organisation, and identify opportunities to transform the business through the application of software engineering principles to data. We are going through an exciting technology transformation and redefining our tools and ways of working which we’d love you to help shape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help to define and improve our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale data infrastructure.
  • Expand our data warehouse with clean data ready for analysis.
  • Work together with other data engineers and data analysts to define guardrails to build an environment which enables data democratisation to enable organisational insights.
  • Communicate recommendations back to team members and the business effectively and efficiently.
  • Maintaining regular communications with active project teams and business stakeholders to ensure necessary and appropriate steps are taken to resolve issues and risks.

About You

  • Hands-on experience translating business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Experience with Python and SQL mandatory.
  • Experience with Dagster, Snowflake and Tableau desired but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with managing and/or developing analytics designs that enable complex multi-functional views of data to support critical business decisions.
  • Quantitative background: IT, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Sciences, Finance.
  • Familiarity with data, analytics, UX, and agile preferred.
