Role / Title

  • This role reports directly to the ANJ Analytics Lead.
  • This position has the responsibility for the data insights & analytics delivery of IT projects and the day to day support of insights & analytics for the Australia New Zealand Japan (ANJ) Business unit in Kraft Heinz.
  • The Data Insights & Analytics Manager drives business unit growth by acting as a business partner for analytics- advising on technology capabilities and providing technology solutions to both Leadership and functional team members.

This is the part of the job that will distinguish you from other applicants. Relationship skills are huge part of this role. Unlike specialised and technical analytics skills- being able to communicate effectively with end users is used every day and in every area of our partnership with the business.

  • Proactively act as a liaison with the user community in identifying end-to-end business processes and how analytics help tell the story and provide insights as a result.
  • Possess the ability to communicate recommendations back to the business effectively and efficiently.
  • Innovating and influencing how we leverage analytics in the organisation; identifying opportunities to transform the business through the application of analytics.
  • Must be able to engage in business focused conversations about analytics and any associated technology.  Ability to adjust the conversation based on audience- is important.
  • Customer focus- on every level and in any functional area- is vital!

Key position functions

You will be responsible for analytics in the ANJ business unit with the following requirements:

  • Small analytics project delivery including initiation- planning- scope- budget and change request management- client management and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintaining regular communications with active project teams and business stakeholders to ensure necessary and appropriate steps are taken to resolve issues and risks- perform appropriate testing and resolve conflicts.
  • Strong knowledge of- and experience with SQL and ETL packages
  • Provide support for existing analytics solutions in the ANJ business- including data warehousing- data models- database design- data mining and OLAP technology.
  • Work together with both Zone and Global analytic groups to ensure alignment of analytic strategy with business priorities and maximise analytics value.
  • Ability to create business case narrative to support IT investments and align/influence key stakeholders to obtain buy-in and approval for said investments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect- organise- analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adept at queries- report writing and presenting findings.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities



  • University Degree required- Information Systems and Computer Science degrees highly suggested.
  • Excellent written and oral communications. 
  • Experience with the full project lifecycle.
  • Willingness to travel as required- and mobility is an advantage.
  • Business acumen and ability to operate at strategic and operational planes while also being able to work with people covering all backgrounds and technical skill levels. 
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the Analytics solutions- with emphasis on latest technology trends and possible application to support business growth and analytic experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills- experience of a multicultural environment is a major bonus.
  • Self-starter- positive attitude- and drive for results.


  • 5+ years relevant commercial experience in analytics- preferably in a multinational industry
  • Consulting & SQL Server experience is highly prized- knowledge and experience with Tableau- Snowflake and SAP HANA would be advantageous.
  • Experience in managing multiple aspects of Analytics projects including planning- requirements gathering- development- testing and implementation.
  • Experience with supply chain analytics would be a great fit.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders from different functions and different organisational levels
  • Experience in End User service delivery and user engagement an advantage
