Description & Requirements

The Director- Connections Strategy & Investment – North America will lead a team of media strategists in setting a strategic agenda for the Kraft Heinz portfolio of iconic brands that will guide brand go-to-market investments- innovative and breakthrough channel plans- media partnerships- learning plans and playbooks for audience activation- brand safety and innovation.

A collaborative- thoughtful partners and subject matter expert- the leader in this role will work across the organization to encourage- influence and co-build best in class brand building work. This leader will have strong vision on how data- technology- partnerships and content come together in meaningful ways to create unique applications and expressions of brand through media.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for development of centralized media thought leadership and portfolio level mentorship including co-authoring foundational media principles- brand activation playbooks and investment guidelines. This work will be applied across the full portfolio of brand media activation and partner and channel investments

  • Effectively influences- leads- and builds partnerships to communicate opportunities- findings- and recommendations with authority & credibility to key business leaders and cross functional partners

  • Collaborates with Business Units and Brand Comms teams to develop agreed upon learning plans- routines and rituals that provide visibility and transparency into all media activity and ongoing budget management

  • Manage a team of media strategists that map directly to the platform brand comms owners and are responsible for translating business objectives into practical media and investment strategies through to tactical level execution

  • Develop and implement future leaning recommendations on media capabilities across process- data partnerships- ad tech roadmaps and media partnerships to meet evolving needs and expectations of our brands- vendors and consumers

Expected Experience & Required Skills

  • Seasoned and tested business expertise of media or communications planning experience at a media ore creative agency- brand or media platform

  • Proven track record to build relationships and establish influence with marketers- creative agencies and content creators- media agency and/or marketplace

  • Solid understanding of media research resources- data solutions- ad tech opportunities and standard processes across all media channels

  • Portfolio management experience; ability to find opportunities across brands for scaled efficiencies- shared takeaways and innovation opportunities

  • Strong organizational stills and ability to set priorities and meet deadlines

  • Effective and proven critical thinking skills

  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and be an individual contributor on a variety of tasks

Work Environment & Schedule

This position is considered a Hybrid role based out of our office in Downtown Chicago. There will be occasional travel as necessary.  

Physical Requirements include but not limited to:

  • Ability to work with a computer and at a desk

  • Ability to travel as needed
