Job Purpose  

As the Procurement Director for MRO, CAPEX, and Utilities, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and delivering a well-thought-out, strong MRO, CAPEX, and Utility strategies that meet business needs and objectives while driving effective and efficient valueYou will be accountable for measuring the performance of these strategies and overcoming business challenges across the Kraft Heinz North American Zone (U.S. and Canada) while working collaboratively with the Global Procurement Leads. You will recruit, engage, develop, and retain a team of managers who are the future generation of Company leaders. In this role, you will interact and collaborate with senior leaders within the business units, particularly the SVP Supply, the CPO of the Zone and Global, Heads of finance in all business units, and other zone NA LT. 

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities  

  • Manage day-to-day MRO, CAPEX, and Utilities Procurement team responsibilities, including developing and implementing sourcing strategy, negotiating contracts, performing make vs buy analysis, developing alternative sources of supply, and troubleshooting supply interruptions.    

  • Manage team on negotiations of contractual agreements to ensure that they achieve business objectives, adhere to corporate standards, and financially deliver against our value commitments.  

  • Deliver productivity savings and develop a continuous efficiency pipeline of savings to ensure future delivery of the strategic plan commitments related to the P&L and the balance sheet. Focus efforts and project identification on total cost of ownership (TCO), strategic sourcing strategy, and Capex of the future project (10YP). 

  • Develop and handle annual budgets and monthly forecasts for cash flow, purchase price variance, and other financial metrics for t he assigned categories. 

  • Lead rollout of new SRM and supplier performance process with strategic relationships that can be used to garner competitive advantage in the marketplace 

  • Recruit, engage, develop, and retain impactful individuals who can bring the organization to the next level. Mentor line managers to lead with empathy and creativity in developing the next generation of leaders 

  • Apply zero-based budgeting as a tool to improve operating efficiency. 

  • Review, monitor, and enhance compliance and controls related to company policies and reporting.  

  • Responsible for embedding discipline and credibility in the financial governance process for the CAPEX Indirect Procurement supply base. Align with Finance and Operations counterparts on a consistent methodology to make decisions.

  • Foster mutually beneficial relationships with core preferred suppliers that are essential to implementing Kraft Heinz’s business strategy, and actively develop the external supply base to create competition and provide sustainable sourcing solutions for current and future projects.  

  • Collaborate with NAZ and Global Procurement leaders to leverage knowledge and best practices.  Foster strong working relationships with the commercial aspects of the business as well as leaders in Operations, Finance, and Procurement.  

  • Oversee the key communication and all associated projects/initiatives/savings.  

 

Expected Experience & Required Skills 

  • A minimum bachelor’s degree is required, and MBA and/or advanced procurement qualifications are preferred (CPM, CPIM, etc.). 

  • Possess at least 10 to 15 years of Procurement experience, with a minimum of 5 years of Indirect Procurement experience. 

  • Strong Eye for business with the ability to understand and explain Procurement results and variances to non-Procurement audiences. 

  • Results-oriented, adept at solving sophisticated challenges and dealing with ambiguity; anticipates and adjusts for problems and obstacles in the team or the organization. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven track record of building effective business relationships Effective partner management skills, especially with senior leadership 

  • Effective negotiator and influencer with demonstrated examples with internal customers and external suppliers/partners. 

  • Strong strategic problem solver who considers various perspectives and impacts of issues and can project them into the future.  

  • Organizational Agility – knows how to get things done through formal and informal channels and is an effective delegator. 

  • Priority Setting – Spends his/ her time and the time of others on what’s most importantEliminates roadblocks for the team and creates focus.

Office Collaboration & Hybrid Work Environment
