Plant Overview:

  • 3-Shift Operation

  • Non- Union Facility with approximately 200 hourly staff members which are a mix of temporary and full-time associates.

  • 100% Food Service, 4 bag soup lines, 1 tub line, 18 Kettles, 5 Filling lines, and 4 packaging lines.

  • Products include Frozen Soups and Macaroni & Cheese

Company History:  Kraft Heinz in Cedar Rapids started as Ashby Soups and was originated in the mid 1980’s by Jamie and Shannon Ashby, along with their mother, using family held recipes for many kinds of soups. In the 1990s’ the name was changed to Quality Chef Foods. Heinz acquired Quality Chef foods in the mid 2000’s. In 2015 Kraft and Heinz merged to become Kraft Heinz as we know it today.

Job Overview:

To supply Production with all raw material needs in a timely manner, while doing all necessary paperwork. To ensure the timely delivery of raw Product to production.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Operate Forklift

  • Issue/Return raw materials in SAP daily

  • Transport goods to and from lines

  • Clean and organize coolers and freezers

  • Load and unload product

  • Occasionally pull spices for Production

  • Maintain required records for inventory handled

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Learn and work in the SAP and other systems.

  • Work within an Inventory Lot Control Environment.

  • Troubleshoot with little supervision.

  • Maintain Allergen Segregation.

  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once using good organizational skills.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively.

  • Responsible for following all Food Safety Policies and Safety Procedures.

  • Responsible for Q-RMP standards implementation as defined by the accountability list document.

  • Must be detail-oriented and possess good organizational skills.

  • Must have basic knowledge in equipment care and maintenance.

  • Must be able to perform well under stress.

  • Working conditions include extremes of hot and cold temperatures.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.

  • Ability to work independently and with others.

  • Must ensure quality products are being packaged.

  • Employees will follow all safety protocols and perform their job responsibilities in a safe manner. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.

3rd Shift - 9:00pm - 5:30am
