Description & Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Test and evaluate all incoming concentrates. Document any juice loss/spills during the shift.                                      Maintain and ensure juice quality through monitoring and auditing concentrates- juice blends- pasteurized juice- and finished product. Perform CIPs as required. Unload ingredients from railcars and trucks.   On the job training- training and certification in operation of heavy equipment- regular training and re-certification required. Work with all departments to meet or surpass the plant’s safety goals. Safety – must be on a Safety Team either as a co-leader or participant. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures; follows Safety- Good Manufacturing Practices- and Dress Code policies Start up- operate- and shut down processing equipment and systems. Monitors mechanical operation of equipment; prepares batches of liquid drink mix. Monitors quality issues and performs visual audits and records checks on ingredient preparation according to specific protocol per liquid beverage product line. Performs lab utility functions to test for product standards and integrity; completes sanitation check points and daily PMs; needs working knowledge of Quality PH swabs- HACCP program and PM orders. Communicates with other Process Operators to ensure adequate quantities of processing materials are on the line. Maintains good housekeeping- and performs Mini cleans- CIP`s- interdictives- product pushes and hot flushes. Provides input toward team development and participates in Green Room process improvement meetings.  Occasionally staying over for second level green room. Operates forklift to transport batch ingredients (liquid and dry) to the line prior to shift for processing. Able to efficiently operate Hertzler (wt.) and OEE downtime programs on computer. All other duties as assigned.

JUICE BLENDING AREA:

Test and evaluate all incoming concentrates. Document any juice loss/spills during the shift in Log Book. Notify Coordinator and/or Shift Manager                                    Maintain and ensure juice quality through monitoring and auditing concentrates- juice blends- pasteurized juice- and finished product. Perform CIPs as required. Document each CIP on CIP Board outside of Main Lab Unload ingredients from bulk trucks.  On the job training- training and certification in operation of heavy equipment- regular training and re-certification required. Work with all departments to meet or surpass the plant’s safety goals. Safety – must complete weekly BOS scans. May be needed to be Safety Rep. and/or 5S Rep. for area Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures; follows Safety- Good Manufacturing Practices- and Dress Code policies Start up- operate- and shut down processing/juice blending equipment and systems. (Common Base- Pasteurizer- Bulk System- etc.) Monitors mechanical operation of equipment; prepares blends needed for product batches Monitors quality issues and performs visual audits and records checks on ingredient preparation according to specific protocol per liquid beverage product line. Performs lab utility functions to test for product standards and integrity; completes sanitation check points and daily PMs; needs working knowledge of Quality PH swabs- HACCP program and PM orders. Communicates with Logistics and Schedulers to ensure Production Schedules are correct and up to date. Provides input toward team development and improvement.  Participates in Green Room meetings- Safety meetings and Process/Juice Blending meetings. Operates fork truck to transport batch ingredients (liquid and dry) to the line for processing and production. Performs Daily Shift Check on fork truck and keeps Daily Check Book up to date Able to efficiently operate Quality Suites and SAP programs on computer. Responsible to fix and/or report any SAP issues that arise while performing SAP tasks (Staging/Back staging- WIP production- and any other SAP errors) Must be willing to work a “flexible” schedule. This may include working more than 8hrs a day- weekends- Holidays- several scheduled days in a row without a day off and must be able to come in to work when you are not scheduled- because of Production changes/issues or anything else that pertains to the Juice Blending Area. Schedule juice deliveries according to production schedule and store juice in proper place when delivered.(Example - Winchester Cold Storage inventory ordering and putting orders away when  they arrive) Juice blending preparation duties and responsibilities for all Systems. Help Process Operators with Citric Area (when needed) Daily inventory of all juices/ingredients Take juice samples as required in order to audit quality and consistency. Support Process Operators when toting off as needed. Juice concentrates analytics. Backstage and put away Essence/Flavoring /Juices when finished using for that run Responsible for filling/emptying/maintaining assigned Recycling Totes/Barrels in Juice Blending area Must adhere and comply with all Organic Standards and Protocols All other Duties as assigned/needed.

This position also has accountability for QRMP standards as outlined in the Winchester Kraft Heinz QRMP accountability document.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: In addition to the capabilities above a good candidate will possess strong organizational skills- ability to multi task- a basic understanding of mechanic parts and how they work.

WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this Job- the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Personal Protective Equipment  While performing the duties of this job- the employee is frequently required to wear appropriate company-issued safety and GMP equipment- including:  steel toe shoes that are also slip resistant- hearing protection- bump cap- and other personal protective equipment.
