Description & Requirements

The EHS Coordinator is responsible for influencing- driving and promoting and enduring health and safety culture. This is achieved by coaching- influencing and mentoring front line leaders to demonstrate effective safety leadership and coordination of the implementation of the Kraft Heinz Safety Management System.

The role requires an understanding of behavioural safety techniques and how strong leadership can influence behaviour at a shop floor level. Knowledge of statutory- and industry health and safety requirements are the key criteria for this position.

About the role

  • Building outstanding relationship with operational leadership to maintain and progress a strong health and safety culture
  • Development- co-ordination and delivery of health- safety induction and operational training
  • Conducting incident and accident assessment and investigation- conducting site inspections
  • Provide advice and tools to assist the line managers exercise their safety and compliance responsibilities
  • Other ad hoc reporting and administration tasks to assist the safety and compliance team

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Formal qualification in health and safety (e.g. New Zealand Certificate in Workplace Health and Safety Practice (Level 4)- Australian Certificate IV Work health and Safety- NEBOSH- or equivalent)
  • Qualification in auditing highly desirable
  • A high level of computer literacy including Word and Excel
  • Experience with online health and safety management systems
  • Excellent communication skills
