Description & Requirements

Reporting to the Site Manager, the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Lead is accountable for the Health & Safety performance of our Seven Hills site, as well as supporting implementation of other Operational Risk initiatives including Environment, Facility Security and Business Continuity. This is not your routine Health & Safety role – come enjoy a diverse and dynamic role within a supportive team where you’ll enjoy the autonomy to drive a broad agenda across the site. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Setting site direction of EHS performance through target setting and performance monitoring
  • Continuous improvement to ensure site EHS compliance with legislation and Kraft Heinz global best practice
  • Ensuring suitable policies, management systems and controls are applied across EHS
  • Driving EHS audits and action plans
  • Mitigating business continuity risks through emergency preparedness plans
  • Qualitative and quantitative EHS reporting
  • Rehabilitation and Return to Work
  • Leading and participating in Environment and Social Governance, such as energy conservation and waste reduction initiatives.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • At least 5 years experience in EHS or safety management in a manufacturing environment, with working knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Experience in dealing with regulatory agencies (i.e. Workplace Health and Safety QLD, Department of Environment & Science).
  • Experience with Safety Management Systems and EHS auditing
  • Experience with Rehabilitation and Return to Work
