About the position
 

We have an exciting position available in our central IT team at Kraft Heinz. The IT Analytic Lead is responsible for overall Analytics Data Engineering strategies and processes to delivery analytics solutions across the North and Central European Regions. In this role- you supervise a virtual team consisting of 15+ data Engineers based in different countries across the NE-CE Regions plus external vendor’s resources- depending the various projects.

The principal accountabilities are:

1) Provide the strategic and tactical direction to develop Analytics procedures to provide new business capabilities and competitive advantages. 
 

2) Accountable for delivery of IT Analytics Data Engineering development and services to achieve the strategic vision and deliver expected results while also ensuring that the function’s operational and tactical needs from Analytical Data Engineering processed within IT are being met
 

In brief- you take ownership of:

  • Developing and crafting the IT roadmaps and strategies to support- enhance and develop new Data Engineering capabilities.
  • Coordinating the BUs Data Engineering teams as well as the data resources accross the zone.
  • Building relationships with key business partners and IT Business relationship leader in all the BUs of the region.
  • Providing the primary point of contact to the business unit for the Data Engineering Analytics- interacting with COE- other Global IT teams.
  • Responsible for demand planning of the Analytics developments and ensuring that projects are prioritized- planned- scheduled- monitored and communicated effectively.
  • Responsible for working with IT and business leadership to successfully initiate Analytics projects- establish the accurate resource assignment and work allocation to ensure projects achieve intended business objectives.
  • Responsible for ensuring effective post-implementation systems support is established for new systems for the functional area.
  • Collecting- reviewing and assessing customer usage and feedback of systems on a regular basis and incorporate learning's into future development
  • Generating capital appropriation requests and establish service contracts to execute capital projects in line with agreed to systems investment roadmap.


 

Qualifications

Must haves

  • A completed Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • At least 10 years of Data Engineering experience is required
  • Strong English proficiency
  • Experience of working in a complex multi country/ language/ time zone environment
  • The ability to work both in a management capacity- and in a detailed- hands-on system capacity
  • Demonstrated ability to manage personnel in a matrix organization and manage third party partners.
  • Experience in application delivery and leading the analytic solutions
  • Any Cloud Experience (Azure ideally)- DBT- Snowflake is a nice to have
     

In addition- below technical skills are a mandatory requirement:

  • Strong SQL
  • Strong Python (not just scripting- not just data science)
  • Software Programming Fundamentals
  • Object-Oriented Programming
  • Automated Unit Testing
