Description & Requirements

The FSQ (Food Safety and Quality) Assistant has a responsibility for Quality throughout the site and all personnel. Kraft Heinz has the Highest Global Standards when it comes to Food Safety and Quality and the implementation, maintenance and improvement of these standards is key to this role. Working with cross functional collaboration with Operations, R and D, Logistics, Human Resources, engineering. This role will be reporting to site FSQ Supervisor who is part of the Site Leadership team which is Pivotal in Delivering Safe, Quality and Nutritious Food.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verification of paperwork and thermal process records, and release of finished goods in line with HACCP requirements.
  • Support production team with quality related issues on shop floor and assist in troubleshooting/root cause analysis
  • Manage taste panel and testing of finished products, water testing and incubation to ensure safety and quality of product
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding non-conformance of goods received through supplier complaint process
  • Drive the site non-conforming goods and rework processes
  • Adherence monitoring of site processes to ensure compliance to Kraft Heinz and external third party requirements
  • Escalate any issues/ noncompliance with respect to process/ product / people which are deviations from Global FSQ systems.
  • Assist with Third party audits, Kraft Heinz Internal Governance Programs and compliance to Regulatory requirements both locally and in Export Markets.
  • Support Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) Systems improvements & projects on site.
  • Work as part of a greater team across Australia and New Zealand and the Global FSQ Community spanning Asia, Europe and the America’s.

About You:

  • Experienced in managing quality and continuous improvement in a diverse and complex manufacturing environment.
  • Tertiary qualification in Science, Engineering or Technology
  • FMCG experience
  • Experience in thermal processing such as retorting, pasteurisation, freezing and chilling, cannery and flexible packaging combined with strong analytical, interpersonal, coaching and influencing skills.
