Description & Requirements

This role provides commercial support to the Head of Finance and Foodservice & Export team across the following main areas:

  • Financial planning, budgeting and forecasting;
  • Financial analysis and month-end reporting;
  • Financial modelling, calculation of financial outcome under different scenarios;
  • Process improvement and business insights

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in completion of monthly financial forecast/ budgeting cycle, including engaging with the key stakeholders to ensure the Sales Plan is accurately recorded in the financial system with the following key areas of focus:
    • Mix: engaging with the Sales Team and Demand Planners to ensure volume/mix is correctly captured within distribution channels and product categories; providing insights to key variances versus the Budget and comparable periods;
    • Pricing/COGS: ensuring all rates in the financial forecast are up to date and engaging with the relevant teams to action system corrections as required;
    • Deals: working with the sales team to ensure all deals are loaded into the system and variances to the Budget are explained;
    • Manually load any other variances into the system to align to the Sales Plan.
  • Assisting in Month-end analysis and reporting, ensuring reliability and completeness of data in the GL and data warehouse:
    • Running preliminary analysis to identify key variances to the Sales plan: volume/ mix/ price/ deals/ etc;
    • Analysis of Marketing and Fixed Selling costs;
    • Liaising with the accounting team to ensure all accruals are timely and accurately recorded; preparing month-end journals as required;
    • Helping with building various presentations to the wider business 
  • Assisting in other ad hoc requests/ analysis/ financial calculations:
    • New Business wins and range extensions;
    • New product development;
    • Marketing activities etc.
  • Making recommendations and driving through for results that improve the business processes and free up resources.
  • Performing assigned tasks in accordance with all Kraft Heinz Food Safety, Environmental, Health and Safety, and Ethical and Human Resources policies, programs and goals.

About you:

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, business, commerce, and/or accounting
  • 2 to 3 years work experience that complements financial training
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite: Excel (macros, indexmatch, vlookup etc) and Access;
  • Efficient in working with large datasets: identify issues, fix, transform, upload, present;
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
