Description & Requirements

The overall function of the role is to support the ZBB (Zero Based Budgeting) activities of the business. Specifically this includes analysis, annual budgeting, monthly forecasting for ZBB costs (aka Fixed costs).

This role focuses mainly on corporate fixed costs in ANZ (mainly G&A, Selling and marketing), however you will also consolidate results with NEA (North East Asia: Japan, Korea) and colleagues in SCF (Supply Chain Finance: Fixed Distribution, Fixed Manufacturing costs). You will work with a wide variety of stakeholders (both in and outside the finance team) to ensure we are delivering against the plan and identifying opportunities and risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation and analysis of financial reports (forecasts, budget & actuals)
  • Assist in managing all processes associated with the ZBB of ANJ (Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea)
  • Assist in providing ongoing financial support and analysis to the teams incurring ZBB costs
  • Month-end processes to understand performance versus benchmarks
  • Ensure that top management/ ELT is aware of their budgets and their financial performance

About you:

  • Degree qualified in a strong numerical discipline – Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Economics or similar discipline or equivalent practical experience
  • Preferably 2-3 years experience in a finance function ideally FP&A, business partnering or a management accounting environment where you were responsible for budgeting/forecasting processes.
  • Experience dealing with a variety of stakeholders; including assisting non-finance users on finance processes
  • Advanced excel user (both analyzing data with pivots/lookups, and creating excel templates for users to complete)
  • Experience using Tableau, SAP and BPCS (preferred but not mandatory)
