Description & Requirements

Key member of the executive leadership team working closely with the Managing Director South America in order to lead and drive a sustainable and profitable growth (combining short and long term goals)- acting as business partner and ensuring compliance in a broad perspective- following the global policies and financial procedures- as well as the local regulatory requirements. 

Requirements:

  • Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long-term goals- budgets and forecast.
  • Participate in key decisions as they relate to strategic initiatives- investments and operational models.
  • Review and analyze monthly financial results (P&L- BS & CF – both USGAAP & BRGAAP) and provide recommendations.
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data
  • Identify risks & opportunities- providing analysis and insights related to profitability of products/brands/categories and clients/channels (Brand & Sales Finance).
  • Interact with Supply Finance in order to manage CMA (full P&L Accountability)
  • Identify growth opportunities through revenue management- D&A- trade & marketing investments (ROI driven).
  • Support innovation cycle- aiming growth- margin enhancement & strategic adherence.  Implement policies- procedures and processes- aiming efficiency and the proper control environment (Internal control and IT agenda).
  • Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls- SOX compliance and financial procedures.
  • Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability & investments.
  • Maintain banking relationships- as well as with vendors and clients.
  • Support AP & AR Department.
  • Manage Risk (Currency- Liquidity- Credit- Insurance coverage)
  • Remain current on audit practices as well as state- federal and local laws regarding company operations- in special Tax (compliance- execution- litigation and planning).
  • Recommend capital structure- considering both Treasury & Tax implications
  • Be a signatory for 3 legal entities- with the formal local responsibility in front of the authorities and third parties.
  • Work in partnership with legal and formally represent the company by signing all the contracts- being short and long term commitments- all aligned with local legislation- global policies and delegation of authority.
  • Manage the IT BRM for the region.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • MBA and/or CPA or CFA certification
  • At least 5 years of experience in finance lead-CFOs position.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of USGAAP- BRGAAP- SOX compliance and SEC/CVM reporting.
  • Strong Tax knowledge
  • English – fluent
