Description & Requirements

Position Summary:

The Finance Manager- Procurement Finance Strategic Projects serves as the voice of finance in the Procurement strategic projects such as key supplier agreement- strategic projects- and procurement long-term strategy. The position is key to drive behavior in Procurement to pursue strategic pricing and better negotiations. In addition- the position interacts with the Controllership- R&D- and the Operations group to support procurement initiatives.
 

Responsibilities: 

  • Report to Lead- Procurement Strategic Projects and provide end-to-end finance support to key Procurement strategic projects
  • Explore and estimate the financial impact of strategic projects from incubation
  • Responsible for strategic project tracking with local/global teams
  • Coordinate the 5-year Strat Plan and Annual Plan processes and communicate planning calendar to all key stakeholders
  • Rack up detailed plan and check-point presentations to leadership
  • Support M&A on ad hoc requests around supplier spend and price fluctuations 
  • Work with Procurement on contractual savings obligations to ensures savings are correctly reported
  • Support ad hoc requests and quantifying financials that results in a clear message for leadership and buyers
  • Partner with Procurement to identify and support new savings initiatives

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering- Finance- Accounting or Business Administration.
  • 3+ years of working experience in Finance- Procurement- or Accounting
  • Strong business acumen- interpersonal- communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to influence cross-functional team members
  • Strong Technical and Systems orientation
  • Motivated self-starter who can effectively work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Team player who manages collaboratively with the ability to influence management- in some cases without authority
  • Exhibits strong analytical- written and verbal communication skills
