Finance Manager, Global FP&A (P&L) at a Glance….

The Finance Manager, Walmart, is the dedicated financial resource to guide the analysis of pricing, promotions, and financial performance of the Sales area. This role supports continuous improvement projects around trade, promotions, and pricing in collaboration with key stakeholders in Sales and Finance. A key responsibility is the use of data to identify gaps and opportunities to drive incremental sales by customer and category.   

What’s on the menu?

  • Support the development of the Sales area annual operating plan and forecasts through financial tools, process design, and analysis.  
  • Support the development and execution of annual budget targets, weekly/monthly routine, revenue mix analysis, and customer profitability reporting.   
  • Develop pre- and post-event model and support the translation of findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with customer business teams and business units to understand event results and impacts against annual operating plan.
  • Use modeling tools to identify opportunities to optimize base pricing and promotional strategies and communicate findings to peers and manager.
  • Lead detailed analyses to determine optimal use of trade. Track and measure effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Understand market, customer, and competitive trends on trade and pricing.
  • Liaise with Sales and Commercial Finance teams to gather best practices and assess fit for the respective Sales Finance team.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve existing financial rituals, routines, and reporting methods.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Concentration in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration preferred
  • Three years of experience delivering results in Sales, Finance, or Shopper Insights. Trade promotion experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced command of Microsoft Excel with ability to quickly learn analytical modeling tools and techniques
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, including report and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with cross-functional team members
  • Motivated self-starter who can effectively work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain flexibility in an ever-changing environment

Office Collaboration & Hybrid Work Environment
