Description & Requirements

The Finance Manager role lies within the Kitt Green Factory. You’ll be working in a high performing team- alongside peers always trying to reach the next level. You’ll be reporting into the Site Financial Controller.

This Critical role in the Supply Chain Finance Organisation contains the following

  • Business partnering with Operational Management to control site operating cost.
  • Responsible for the analysis and financial management of the site utilities budget and ZBB.
  • Responsible for the production of the site financial packs and act as deputy for the Site Financial Controller.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal and external accounting standards and regulations including SOX.
  • Coordinate the PPE and inventory counts with the operations and engineering teams.
  • Liaise with Third Party Service providers to challenge cost structure and delivery of savings.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Month end financial accounting including accruals and prepayments.
  • Execute SAP month end cost of goods closing routines.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounting reports including variance commentary.
  • Weekly control of the site maintenance spends by business partnering with Engineering department. 
  • Managing the annual budget process including standard cost setting.
  • Cost forecasting and control for various areas of spend including site utilities and ZBB.
  • Developing and maintaining internal control processes and systems.
  • Leading the annual asset and stock count including liasing with third party audit requests.
  • Preparing the monthly balance sheet review including commentary.
  • Assisting the controlling team with annual statutory audits.
  • Working closely with other departments and stakeholders to drive improvements in financial performance.
  • Providing financial analysis and support to the business in decision-making.
  • Preparation and management of intercompany invoices for Heinz UK Manufacturing.
  • Deputise for Site Financial Controller.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/COMPENTENCIES

  • Education – Batchelor Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a finance role.
  • Part qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Supply chain finance is an advantage. 
  • Fluent English.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Highly numerate and analytical.
  • Strong team player.
  • Demonstrates accountability and integrity.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels of the business.
  • SAP ERP experience is desirable.
