About the Position

We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. This position lies within the Financial Control team. You’ll be the lead local controllership individual responsible for the UK&I business. You’ll be reporting into the Financial Controller for Northern and Continental Europe.  Get ready for a lot of exposure to internal senior stakeholders. The delivery of the Financial Reporting Agenda- as well as business partnering- will be your primary responsibilities. You’re constantly looking for improvement activities within delivering the accounting agenda.

In brief- you will be responsible for;

  • Monthly US GAAP reporting to WHQ (Chicago)- including understanding results & accounting issues
  • UK VAT and Accounting rules – providing guidance to the wider HUK Finance community and other interested parties (e.g. Supply Chain Hub UK VAT- EHQ UK Stat reporting- GBS)
  • Completion of the statutory accounts for the 10 legal entities- including conversion of trial balance from US to FRS 102 with a thorough understanding of all accounting differences.  Leading all aspects of the audit (PwC)
  • Supervising the completion and submission of the VAT returns & own all VAT related issues
  • Supporting and overseeing the activities of the GBS Financial Reporting Team – driving efficiencies- process improvements & issue resolution
  • Partnering with the business on all accounting issues – sharing technical expertise- researching issues- driving new requirements
  • Working with the Compliance team to ensure a sound internal control environment
  • Liaising with service providers & WHQ re pension items – own accounting aspects


Hard Skills

  • Relevant accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA etc.)
  • Experience in driving the Monthly Close Process
  • Experience of preparing Statutory accounts from Trial Balance under FRS102
  • Up to date knowledge of FRS102 (and preferably US GAAP)
  • Ability to apply accounting theory to the commercial environment & can research and guide others
