About the Position

We have an excellent part time opportunity available for an experienced Government Affairs Manager to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. The role is three days per week. The Government Affairs Manager lies within the Legal Functions and is location in our Shard office.

You’ll be working in a hard-working team- alongside peers always trying to reach the next level. You’ll be reporting into General Counsel NE.

The delivery of Northern Europe’s Government Affairs agenda will be your primary responsibility and you will have an opportunity to identify improvement activities within the BU.


In brief- you will be responsible for;

  • Assisting senior management and leadership with strategic planning for known and potential economic- policy and regulatory activities related to the business and industry.
  • Owning the BU government affairs strategic plan: issue identification- building position statements with cross-functional input and business context- internal and external stakeholder mapping- building communication and action plans.
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with members of local and central government entities and agencies in order to represent- protect and advance BU’s plans and interests.
  • Scoping out opportunities for government funding initiatives to support the BU’s growth agenda.
  • Representing Kraft Heinz at trade associations and industry committees

 Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree level qualification preferable
  • Good technical understanding of the UK political system- policy making and related advocacy experience
  • ·Strong relationship builder- communicator- collaborator- ability to influence multiple stakeholders at different levels internally and externally
  • Minimum of 3 years in similar role in agency or industry preferable
  • Good knowledge of UK food- nutrition and environmental policy preferable
  • Highly proficient in English (written and verbal) given nature of role
