About this role:

This role has responsibility to provide critical finance support to the People and Performance Team regarding people expenses (compensation- variable compensation and HR expenses) for Australia- leading the analysis- forecasting and overall People ZBB (Zero Based Budgeting) to assist in business decision-making and support strategic goals.


  • Performing monthly financial routines related to people fixed cost including:

a) Analysing the monthly people cost based on official sources (payroll reports- HRIS System and Finance Systems) to verify the correct allocation of each cost

b) Analysing monthly closing reports from Finance team during the process and lead actions with responsible areas to correctly allocate costs

c) Building expense accruals

d) Developing journals for cost reclassifications

e)Executing account reconciliations in both P&L and balance sheet accounts for all people-related fixed cost

f) Executing inter-company recharges

g) Developing head count report for Controller team

  • Supporting strategic and operational planning through preparation of budgets by gathering assumptions/information from different sources (Finance- Payroll and Factories) and supporting on building reports to enhance budget negotiation

  • Analysing and reporting on actuals against budget for all people-related fixed costs and HR function expenses. Providing financial information to internal stakeholders for decision making

  • Preparing reliable and insightful reports including monthly and ad-hoc reporting for Finance- other functions and Zone/World HQ to provide cost visibility for the business

  • Preparing monthly accrual for variable compensation to provide financial visibility on bonus cost for the business- based on employees’ compensation- individual KPIs and company’s forecast result. Building financial scenarios for business decision-making regarding bonus accrual

  • Building an accurate monthly forecast for each component of people-related fixed costs and providing analysis against the budget with insightful information for the business to have predictability on people cost

  • Assisting with internal and external audits of people and compensation costs

  • Liaising with offshore shared services team- factory personnel- other functions and broader HR team in Australia and Zone/World HQ to provide accurate information on people cost

About You:

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency- with exceptional analytical skills to simplify and present complex data from multiple sources

  • Strong communication skills with confidence to negotiate with and influence stakeholders at all levels- both cross-functionally and globally

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting- Finance- Business- Commerce or related discipline

  • At least 2 years work experience in finance business partnering

  • Experience with Blackline- SAP- SRM- BPCS- Workday and CCMS advantageous
