About the Role

This role has responsibility to provide critical finance support to the People and Performance Team regarding people expenses (compensation, variable compensation and HR expenses) for Australia and New Zealand. It will lead a team of analysts and support budgeting, reporting, forecasting and overall People ZBB (Zero Based Budgeting) to assist in business decision-making and support strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and/or supervise monthly financial routines related to people fixed cost.
  • Effectively communicate the drivers of labour cost across ANZ to key stakeholders including; Head of Supply, Head of HR, ZBB Manager, Zone Rewards and Supply Chain Finance teams.
  • Manage overall people cost by holding functional and factory site leaders accountable to their budgeted spend and working with them to re-prioritise spend through the year to meet their objectives.
  • Identify and drive with business process improvements on people cost management.
  • Liaise with shared services team (GBS – payroll team), factory personnel, supply chain finance, corporate and commercial functions and the broader HR team in the region and Zone HQ to provide accurate information on people cost
  • Prepare reliable and insightful reports including monthly and ad-hoc reporting for Finance, other functions and Zone HQ to provide cost visibility for the business.
  • Manage and mentor a team of analysts partnered to the various functions across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Analyse and report on actuals against budget for all people-related fixed costs and HR function expenses.
  • Build an accurate monthly forecast for each component of people-related fixed costs and providing analysis against the budget with insightful information for the business to have predictability on people cost.

About You

  • Experience in cost control and variance analysis/reporting.
  • Proven team leadership experience.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work to set timeframes in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong excel capability to complete required data analysis and modelling.
  • Comfortable and confident with facilitating training content to large groups of employees.
  • Comfortable and confident working with and presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to quickly establish relationships to partner with the business and external stakeholders.
