HEAD OF FOOD SERVICE EASTERN EUROPE
 

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to manage all aspects of the food service operations. Your focus will be overseeing planning and business development, partnering with our distributor to deliver short- and long-term plans, and negotiating, building, and maintaining solid relationships with key customers. You will also manage budgets, lead Food Service Team, and ensure that high-quality standards are always maintained.

Your success will depend on your ability to work closely with culinary teams, optimize operational efficiency, and stay updated with industry trends. You must demonstrate strong leadership skills, cultural awareness, and a deep understanding of the Eastern Europe markets’ dynamics to excel in this position.

This position is part of the Leadership Team of Eastern Europe, reporting to the managing director of the business unit and is based in Amsterdam with frequent travels to the Eastern Europe Countries.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and implement National food service plans across sub-channels & multiple categories.
  • Negotiate partnership with regional key players in FS.
  • Translate long-term strategy into annual operational plans both in area of marketing and sales including setting and monitoring KPI’s for the Foodservice Team.
  • Oversee menu planning and culinary standards with key accounts.
  • Manage budgets, financial forecasting, and cost control measures.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and quality delivery of developed plans.
  • Lead and supervise direct team of 2 direct reports, in dotted lines our sales business developers and Food Service Key Accounts managers.
  • Help our Business Development Managers to manage main customers in Food Service business and building relationships with key stakeholders ensuring Joint Value Plans are in place.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Working closely with other business units to expand cross selling opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to enhance service offerings.
  • Handle crisis management and problem resolution as needed.
  • Acquire relevant technical know-how for the category and transfer knowledge to the direct and distributor teams.
  • Develop and grow the team members.

What you bring

  • Strong background in developing and executing successful business strategies that drive both top-line and bottom-line results.
  • Experience in Marketing and Sales, particularly in the Food Service industry, would be advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and cultivate a sustainable, high-performance culture.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment and the ability to influence without authority would be valuable.

Work Environment & Schedule

Regular office environment with travel to countries where we are operating;
