Summary of Job Responsibilities:

Working on the International Team- the position OT/Automation Management Head has an objective to be responsible for the control- efficient performance- and maintenance of industrial equipment or systems. Their job description involves leading all aspects of general technical processes in an engineering or industrial establishment to ensure optimal performance and operation.

To play a prominent role in the management of the plant operation- ensure that the organization follow the standard procedure and must take steps to ensure compliance.

This position requires working with multi-functional teams to architect- validate- commission- and program pilot lines to big volume production. The ideal candidate will also drive standards across all manufacturing lines and processes as well sophisticated cell team will work in partnership with external suppliers and equipment integrators to take design specifications through prototype into full production.

  • Presentation of OT strategies and solutions to the Executive and senior PN leaders
  • Strategic Direction: lead the review- development and implementation of an Operational Technology Strategy demonstrating intelligent transport- IoT and contemporary OT technologies to achieve company goals and industry leadership
  • Documented OT Strategy and Roadmap that supports business goals and delivers innovate capabilities
  • Monitoring an organization’s servers- networks- and computer systems for irregularities and performance issues. The IT operations manager assesses system data and error logs- along with user reports- to resolve areas for improvement or repair. In this aspect of the role- an IT operations manager may also resolve when systems or servers are due for upgrades.
  • Develop guides for users and technicians- such as FAQ documents or employee handbooks for IT department personnel.
  • Support IT department activities while upgrading systems and servers and migrating the organization’s data. It may introduce new methods to streamline the upgrade process- supervise the system to ensure that it remains stable and usable- and maintain data security through the migration process

In brief- you will be responsible for:

To play the prominent role in the ownership and management of the International Manufacturing Operation Technology (OT) strategies and ensure through governance that the organization follows the standard procedures and playbooks to achieve compliance.

  • Development and Presentation of OT Strategies- Budgets. and Policies to the Executive and Senior International Zone Leadership to ensure Business Continuity
  • Strategic Direction:
  • Lead the review- development and implementation of an OT Strategy bringing to bear intelligent transport- IoT and modern OT technologies to achieve company goals and industry leadership
  • Documented OT Strategy and Roadmap that supports business continuity goals and delivers innovative and robust solutions.
  • Responsible for the OT Automation and Controls Specifications for the International Manufacturing Sites and work with the Global Center of Excellence and Zone Engineering Teams to review projects for compliance to these specifications.
  • Develop and Implement Strategies for Monitoring/Administration/Security of OT Infrastructure assets including Servers- Workstations- Switches- PLC’s- HMI’s- and other Machine Control Edge Devices.
  • Build and Deploy Hardware and Software Lifecycle strategies to all OT infrastructure assets and work with the international plants to rationalize this strategy through timely capital execution.
  • Develop- Handle and Maintain Critical OT centralized maintenance routines such as OT Asset Backup- Disaster Recovery- OS/Antivirus Patch Management- Software Version Control and Network Security including firewall rule standardization.
  • Establish control test plan execution at supplier and/or equipment vendors during installation and buy-off
  • Train regions maintenance and production teams to support automated equipment after deployment into production
     

Hard Skills:

Please kindly note that you need to have an EU Working Permit (Orientation Year Visa not included) to proceed for this position.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field- such as Information Technology- Electrical or Automation Engineering- Mechanical- Computer Science- or Management Information Systems. This position also requires a master’s degree in one of these fields as well.
  • 10+ Years of manufacturing experience including 3+ years in the OT environment desired.
  • Able to handle a budget and deliver goals against the budget while working to provide year-after-year efficiencies while working to establish the OT standards across the International Manufacturing sites.
  • Understanding of computer programming and software development.
  • Solid experience crafting and maintaining PLC code structure. Program state machines for sophisticated processes which involve multi-station parallel processing- pick and place automation- data acquisition- and PID control. Proven ability to craft fault-tolerant systems with error handling and recovery
  • Design electrical and schematics in CAD (AutoCAD Electrical- ePlan- etc.). Solidworks- CATIA as a plus
  • Experience with various production machinery- cameras- sensors- and other equipment Experience programming robots are desired (Fanuc- Kuka- Motoman- Epson)
  • Experience with machine vision systems (Cognex- Keyence- Fanuc- Nagase a plus) are desired
  • Detailed personality.
  • Availability for travelling.
  • Prefer candidates with hands on experience in automotive /electronic field manufacturing
  • Proficient in English speaking and writing
