About the Position

The Head of Production International is a key role inside the zone Operations team since it is responsible for the optimal set up of the Production Organization including design- rituals and routines- capability requirements definition and ambitious target setting process and governance across the International Zone helping the factories to deliver continuous improvement results in productivity- loss elimination and CTP.

This position owns the content and deployment of Continuous Improvement- Production Management and Supply Chain Pillar in KHMS International to ensure we have the right standards and improvement programs to deliver optimal productivity in a sustained way across the International Manufacturing Network.

The Head of Production International is leading a team of subject matter experts linked to productivity- labor- yield and Manufacturing Supply Chain. This incudes to develop and adapt and design the team based on the strategies and key focus areas.

The scope of the role is the International Zone (LATAM- EMEA- Asia and ANZ) and reports directly into the Head of Manufacturing COE International.

Key Responsibilities

  • To lead and continuously develop the Production Management Team that includes Continuous Improvement- Labor- Yield and Manufacturing Supply Chain
  • To ensure the development and roll-out of the right level of organization standards- routines and best practices across the International Manufacturing Network being accountable for the content and deployment of KHMS Production and Manufacturing Supply Chain Pillars in the Zone
  • To work with the People and Performance International lead to develop and implement the right learning processes and systems around Production scope across the Manufacturing International Network
  • To lead the productivity element of the strategic plans of the Manufacturing International area
  • To drive the technical expertise that will focus on the Annual Champions process around Losses reduction- yield improvement and Production Process improvement between others
  • To ensure the allocation of right resources and provide steering when required to help to solve systemic problems in Production management across international zone.
  • Key customers and interfaces include: GCOE Finance and Manufacturing- Head of Operations International- International Operations Leadership Team including Head of Logistics & Export- Heads of Supply- Finance & Procurement- Site Managers and Production leads- International Food Safety & Quality Assurance Managers- International and Regional ORM/EHS Managers- Zone and Site Continuous Improvement Managers- International Research & Development

Hard Skills

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Manufacturing
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • FMCG or Automotive experience is a must
  • Plant Manager or Operations Manager experience is preferred
  • Highly competent in deploying and implementing Lean- IWS- TPM
  • Able to use experience and judgement to appropriately identify and effectively manage risks and develop contingency plans to resolve.
  • Computer literate including knowledge of web-based systems and comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows suite.
  • Excellent organizational- influencing and planning skills.
  • End to End Business and deep Supply Chain understanding
  • Strong Leader and experienced engineer with a thorough knowledge of proven and advanced technology and with the ability to apply that knowledge practically to ensure competitive and innovative advantage.
  • Highly numerate and financially aware to allow project financial analysis to be completed in conjunction with financial analysts.  Ability to identify appropriate project sensitivities and account for expenditure appropriately
  • Subscribes to a philosophy of Continuous Improvement- making recommendations as to how the team and processes can improve to deliver against company and department objectives.
