Indirect Category Sr. Buyer

We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced procurement professional to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. The position lies within the European Procurement Team.


As a Service & People HR European Sr. Buyer- you will be responsible for the development of sourcing strategies that create partnerships between KHC and key partners of choice and deliver tangible results in time-bound period. This involves an integrated- proactive approach with participation from stakeholders across EU Business Units. You’ll be working in a high performing team- alongside peers always trying to reach the next level.

Service & People HR Sr. Buyer is expected to:

  • Create- Champion- and Execute market-oriented category sourcing and supplier management strategies to achieve competitive advantage through lowest purchase cost and value improvements consistent with the direction set by the business
  • Identify and manage strategic marketing partnerships- from partner selection through negotiation and contracting- partnering with all other related areas (HR- Manufacturing- Legal- Procurement- etc.)
  • Leading supplier selection- development- and overall supplier management- including score carding- supplier relationship reviews and sensitive supplier lists
  • Identify value-add service opportunities and drive project roll-out implementation throughout the Zone


Hard Skills

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree level- preferably Procurement- Business Management- or related fields
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Procurement
  • Experience with working across international timelines and communities
  • High results-oriented
  • Ability to effectively negotiate and influence business decisions and change
  • Strong analytical- planning and execution skills
  • Organizational agility – knows how to get things done both through formal and informal channels
  • Priority setting – spends his/her time and the time of others on what’s most important. Eliminates roadblocks and creates focus
  • Professional fluency in English; other languages (Spanish- Polish- Dutch- Italian- French- Russian- Arabic) are a plus
  • Strong understanding of Excel and in developing presentations
