Description & Requirements

Summary

Responsible to lead the accounting and financial reporting duties of Kraft Heinz Korea and manage Korea statutory requirements including but not limited to statutory audits and tax filings. Also responsible for the maintaining solid and sound controlling environment and SOx compliance by reviewing internal controls and performing required testing.

Principal Accountabilities

(Leading)

  • Take a lead and full responsibility for monthly/annual closing processes up to the submission of the financial results to global consolidation system of HFM and other supplemental information.
  • Prepares journal entries and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary accounts; prepares monthly financial statements and required reporting within the defined timelines.
  • Lead inter-company accounting/reconciliation and fixed asset accounting.
  • Manage internal/statutory audit and tax filing processes.
  • Coordinate with Japan Finance team for NEA (North East Asia) related reporting.
  • Ensure internal controls are robust and test them as part of the Sarbanese-Oaxley compliance processes. Updates all Sox documentation and lead new implementation of controls in the Company’s internal control system.

(Supervising)

  • Monitor and ensuring data are recorded correctly in the KraftHeinz’s financial accounting system- including major data master and mapping maintenance and monthly B/S reconciliation (using Blackline system).
  • Supervise /Manage two accounting staffs mainly engaged in AR/AP and payment processes and ensure the daily accounting operation is sustained.

  • Supervise/support daily/monthly closing finance related activities (D&A- expenses- treasury and working capital).

(Extended finance scopes)

  • Analyze and present actual results to the management- especially for product costs and general expenses (fixed costs).
  • Prepare monthly forecast- especially for product costs and general expenses (fixed costs).
  • Support SCM team on data analysis including inventory provision.
  • Be knowledgeable about accounting system infrastructure and solve issues facilitating with IT team.
  • Engage in any company projects as required.
  • Other duties as assigned such as managing Customs / tax office audits.

Selection Criteria:

(Must)

  • At least 5 years proven experience in financial accounting.
  • Good knowledge of US GAAP / Korea GAAP.
  • Business level English.
  • Financial ERP experience.
  • Experience of dealing with external authorities such as auditors and tax institutions.
  • Ability to organize own work- set priorities and meet critical deadlines.
  • Must be flexible- organized- able to work in a fast-paced environment- have good communication skills and the ability to work with people and project with a positive attitude.

(Desirable)

  • Experience in process improvement is a strong advantage.
  • Experience in food or consumer goods industry and in dealing with inventory accounting and import process.
  • SOx experience is desirable.
  • Strong interest in developing career in accounting areas.
  • Knowledge of accounting operations (AR and AP) is an advantage.
  • Strong IT skills in Microsoft Office are required with particular focus on Excel.
