Description & Requirements

SUMMARY:  Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, this position will lead the lubrication program by establishing and monitoring oil cleanliness standards, and develop best practices for storage and application of oil and greased lubrication methods.  This position will have strong functional ties to the department maintenance leaders and the Condition Based Maintenance analysts to assist with the corrective actions needed to address identified issues when performing lubrication analysis reviews. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Establish oil cleanliness standards for compressors, gearboxes, hydraulics, and other oil lubricated equipment, and use portable filtration units to ensure standards are met.  Establish oil sampling best practices for compressors, gearboxes, and hydraulics.   Collect and analyze oil samples results and work with the maintenance leaders to enhance PM’s and lubrication practices.  Work with CBM analysts to identify lubrication failure modes through vibration analysis and implement corrective actions to improve equipment health.  Install lubricant health accessories (desiccant breathers, sight glasses, BS&W bowls, and filtration fittings) to improve asset reliability. Manage Oil Filtration Program and PM’s.  Work with the stockroom to maintain the inventory of food grade and non-food grade oils.  Maintain the bulk oil storage cabinet.  Lead electric motor lubrication program utilizing ultrasound monitoring devices.  Work with the maintenance leaders to enhance lubrication PM’s. Assist the Autonomous Maintenance Pillar in creating lubrication maps for IL6S lines.  Work with the Autonomous Maintenance Pillar to educate equipment owners on lubrication techniques.    Work with departments to complete quarterly air leak audits using Ultrasonic equipment. Develop and maintain positive rapport with customers, suppliers, contractors, Kraft associates, and 3rd party associates. Serve as leader or participant on assigned teams & support team decisions. Comply with QCMS requirements for Maintenance/Engineering department. Facilitate timely completion & effectiveness of QCMS corrective actions for area of responsibility. Support Idea and Suggestion initiatives generated within Business Unit. Perform all work in accordance with Kraft Heinz, OSHA, and NEC standards (in a safe and efficient manner consistent with lockout/tagout, hot work, fall protection, and other OSHA regulations). Comply with all Kraft Heinz policies, procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices. Understand and accepts the Operational Reliability culture and is supportive of plant and department team goals and vision. Utilize the SAP system to document daily maintenance activities. Perform other duties as assigned by Maintenance Management.

This position also has accountability for QRMP standards as outlined in the Winchester Kraft Heinz QRMP accountability document.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: In addition to the capabilities above a good candidate will possess strong organizational skills, ability to multi task, a basic understanding of mechanic parts and how they work.

Must be highly self-motivated and able to work collectively with CBM analysts and maintenance leaders.  Must have extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment, components, and parts with a background in industrial, mechanical processes. Will be required to achieve category I certification for lubrication tech and lubrication analyst within one year.  Minimum of 2 years mechanical/electrical background in an industrial setting is required. Must have strong keyboarding and computer skills, and ability to communicate with Microsoft Office business application software. Must be able to apply problem-solving techniques, communicate effectively, demonstrate leadership, and plan effectively.

  • Written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey ideas/facts clearly and concisely.

Must meet pre-qualification criteria and be willing to upgrade skills in areas where skills are marginal. Person must have knowledge of or be willing and able to train in Maintenance Systems and new technologies in predictive maintenance.  No one on a final warning for a work rule, job performance, or attendance violation will be considered.

WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Personal Protective Equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to wear appropriate company-issued safety and GMP equipment, including:  steel toe shoes that are also slip resistant, hearing protection, bump cap, and other personal protective equipment.

Office Collaboration & Hybrid Work Environment
