Description & Requirements

The primary function of a Capri Primary Packaging Operator is to operator and maintain the filling machine- carton former and straw machine effectively and efficiently while maintaining the highest degree of integrity as it relates to the safety and quality of the operation.

As an operator you will attend daily level 1 meetings and understand what the expectations are regarding the meeting while understanding the purpose of the meetings.  There will be different programs used while operating each piece of equipment which you will learn while training.  You will learn how to change different parts of the equipment and how to identify a defective part on a routine basis. 

You will learn how to operate the pallet jack to bring raw materials into the filling room.  You will maintain all raw materials that are used daily on your machine.  You will learn how to identify defects within the raw materials and what your responsibility is as it relates to the defect.  It is important the Capri Primary Operator understands how to complete paperwork should the computer be down and on the computer.  As an operator you must be able to float between your machine and others then demonstrate your ability.

There will be several standard inspections of the process that will corroborate the quality of our product as the product travels through this process. You will learn how to conduct these inspections safely and efficiently while operating this piece of equipment.  You will learn what safety aspects apply to the operation of this equipment while in training and understand the importance of safety.
