Description & Requirements

In this role you will be maintaining a diverse set of machinery within our Petfood department at our Tomoana site.  The level of responsibility involved will require you to use your initiative to effectively prioritise your workload and achieve results?  If you have a history of being able to manage and lead diverse teams- in such a way that all targets are met- and that the plant operates in an efficient and effective manner- we would love to hear from you.  You must be physically fit- reliable and can provide a high standard of customer service.  Other aspects of the role include good attention to detail- good written and oral communication skills- being good with numbers and be available to work overtime as required- which could include weekends.

You will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing and maintaining Petfood maintenance systems
  • Providing an efficient engineering service to on site production and services.
  • Providing a strong engineering link between trade staff- production- and management.
  • Assisting production centre managers to manage engineering costs and services.
  • Performing assigned tasks in accordance with all Heinz Food Safety- Environmental- Health and Safety- and Ethical and Human Resources policies- programs- and goals.
  • Creating overhaul work plans- Liaise with engineering planning/ scheduling for overhaul timing
  • Developing and monitoring outcomes of preventative and corrective maintenance programs
  • Maintaining and managing budgeting systems and controls

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Relevant degree in business- operations- engineering or science
  • Experience working in food manufacturing environment
  • High computer literacy – MS Office suites
  • Great communication skills- both verbal and written
  • Strong customer focus
  • Eagerness to learn
  • SAP- SRM and BPCS system knowledge is an advantage
