Description & Requirements

This position will reports to the Head of Yield- Manufacturing and will work with Plant Management Teams- Continuous Improvement- Maintenance- Quality- Engineering- and R&D (etc.) to improve the yield of the plants. The position will see opportunities to reduce yield losses and for own the execution of the improvement projects within a specific Plant Pod.

  • Bring together data- analyze and interpret results for product/process development and support continuous process improvements on yield for tactical as well as strategic long-term projects.
  • Successfully communicate (both verbally and written) work instructions- yield reports- and roadmaps to drive yield improvement.
  • Proficient in KHMS methods and systems- and able to freely apply them to seek solutions and resolve challenges.
  • Provide training- mentoring & coaching where appropriate to improve over-all capabilities and knowledge.
  • Develop- test- and document workable procedures presented at a level suitable for the intended users.
  • Be a technical leader and go to personal for product yield data analysis- change control and process flow.
  • Improve metrics such as % Yield Gap to precision for the plans as well as Faulty $ reduction for the plants.

What You Need For Success

  • BS/MS in Applied Physics- Materials Science- Electrical Engineering- Mechanical Engineering- Chemical Engineering- or another technical field.
  • 5+ years in product or yield engineering- or process integration.
  • Six sigma black belt- green belt or significant Quality system training and experience preferred.
  • Ability to summarize issues and communicate results to other groups- so that issues are resolved.
  • Ability to effectively develop relationships with individuals at all levels of the business and demonstrates strong interpersonal connections.
  • Strong problem-solving and problem prevention skills.
  • Strong preference for meat processing experience.
