Description & Requirements

This reporting position will play a critical role in providing support for the Environmental Social Governance (ESG) and financial reporting needs of The Kraft Heinz Company. This is a high-visibility role- which requires coordinating the flow of information between multiple teams and varying levels of management. In this role- you will work with an experienced team- in a fast-paced- collaborative environment- to draft our consolidated financial statements and related footnotes- with a focus on the evolving ESG reporting requirements and internal governance. This role will assist in other significant projects- which vary based on our business transactions and priorities (e.g.- financial reporting & ESG policies- benchmarking- training initiatives- etc.).

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the preparation of SEC filings- including 10-Ks- 10-Qs- S-3s- S-4s- 8-Ks- and other filings- as well as relative content in ESG raters such as DJSI- CDP- Sustainalytics- etc.;
  • Monitoring SEC- U.S. GAAP- PCAOB- and Nasdaq developments and evaluating the impacts of new accounting and reporting rules;
  • Collaborating across our global organization to develop integrated ESG financial reporting information and analysis to support both internal and external reporting- as well as other ESG reporting needs and to support communications with internal and external stakeholders- including investors;
  • Enhancing the ESG disclosure program in accordance with cross-functional tracking and governance efforts between external reporting and the business with a focus on technical execution;
  • Partnering with other internal functions to develop and refine ESG key performance indicators;
  • Assisting with the identification- design- and execution of internal controls related to ESG reporting; 
  • Benchmarking disclosures of industry peers in a rapidly evolving space to ensure Company disclosures are relevant and informative;
  • Working with external and internal auditors; and
  • Participating in special projects related to financial reporting or new/developing accounting topics- M&A activity- Green Taxes- Green Bonds- etc.- as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations
  • Minimum of four years of experience including public accounting with emphasis in SEC engagements (Big 4 public accounting firm preferred)
  • Strong work-ethic- communication skills (written and verbal)- willingness to learn- detail-oriented- and positive attitude
  • Excellent analytical- teamwork- leadership- organizational- interpersonal- and conflict-management skills
  • Interest in ESG topics and reporting- with ESG financial/accounting work related experience at Fortune 500 company preferred
  • Ability to effectively operate in a fast-paced- complex global organization
  • Ability to work efficiently with multiple priorities and achieve results- while maintaining high quality
  • Experience auditing or reviewing processes- desired
  • Experience with Workiva and Hyperion Financial Management is a plus
