Description & Requirements

1.Purpose of the role

The role is responsible to plan- challenge- measure- follow up and forecast the performance of the Payables Cash Flow (and related KPIs) and eAuction- globally.

2.Main accountabilities

  • Payables
    • Ownership of the key payables KPIs: dollar payables cashflow- weighted average payment terms (WAPT)- days of payables outstanding (DPO)
    • Own and coordinate monthly financial performance review challenging Global and Zone Procurement teams on gaps and explanations
    • Track payment terms action plans with suppliers: days of improvement and also reductions related to legal compliance
    • Conciliate WAPT and DPO performance
    • Coordinate Strat Plan and AOP for WAPT- making sure that payment terms improvements are embedded in the cash flow planning
    • Support Global Procurement Category leaders in payment terms negotiation with suppliers- calculating the value of each day of improvement: cash flow impact and cost of capital- helping the GCLs understand the trade off between P&L and Cash flow

  • eAuction
    • Own and coordinate monthly financial performance review for the key eAuction KPIs: Spend- Effectiveness- Coverage
    • Define and review periodically global standard methodologies related to the KPI calculation- making recommendations for how to treat exceptions
    • Coordinate with Indirect Procurement Finance Lead the reporting of Savings related to eAuctions
    • Coordinate Strat Plan and AOP for eAuction KPIs- making sure that eAuction saving projects are embedded in the planning

  • Transformation role
    • In building the right rituals and routines for this position- the holders is expected to develop SLAs with GBS and lead automation decision-making process for tracking WAPT and eAction KPIs

  • To scale up the use of analytical tools to increase visibility- generating insights around the financial performance
  • To own the monthly presentation to CPO regarding Payables/WAPT and eAction

5.Qualification and Technical Competencies required

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business- Engineer- Accounting or related field required
    • Master degree a plus

  • Experience
    • 5-6 years of business experience
    • Solid financial background (in FMCG is plus)
    • Experience of working in and with multi-country scenarios
    • Process Standardization projects is a plus
    • Working through Shared Services groups

  • Skills
    • Leadership skills- interpersonal skills- ability to persuade and influence- strong team player
    • Systemic view with strong analytical skills
    • Excel proficiency. Tableau- Power BI knowledge a plus
    • Proactive and have ownership
    • Languages: English fluent
