The Interactive Planning Configuration Specialist is a critical member of the OMP EMEA POD team, responsible for implementing and supporting the configuration of the OMP platform. They will work closely with the Solution Architect and other team members to translate business requirements into technical specifications, design and implement configurations, and support Production-related issues. The Configuration Specialist will also play a key role in the Agile development process, actively participating in PI or Iteration Planning, supporting Program or Product Backlog, and effectively communicating assigned work. Additionally, they will provide guidance to internal Business Leads on application functions and support change management activities.

Key Ingredients:

  • Bring a strong understanding of concepts such as rough cut capacity planning, master planning and inventory management.
  • Participate in workshops and presentations with key users and business analysts to fully understand requirements.
  • Should have the knowledge of architectural design patterns, performance tuning and functional and interface designs etc.
  • Documents technical specifications.
  • Tool configuration in the OMP platform as per the design.
  • Help refine business requirements and features into feature or story level requirements.
  • Work with solution architect to complete wire frames as needed to deliver the needed functionality.
  • Drive designs that balance business efficiency, system performance, security and compliance.
  • Support Production related issues as part of a larger DevOps organization for the OMP Platform.
  • Actively participate in PI or Iteration Planning processes to determine the key objectives for the next planning period.
  • Support Program or Product Backlog by effectively supporting the preparation of features or user stories clearly gathering solution intent, known requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Proactively and effectively communicate all assigned pending demand and active work throughout agile sprints.
  • Provides guidance to internal Business Leads on application functions.
  • Supports change management activities by assisting with development of training materials, training scenarios, documentation, communication and change impacts.
  • Maintaining and developing relevant expertise in the domain.

Recipe for Success: Apply if it sounds like you!

  • MSc Degree in engineering/supply chain/economy/business is required.
  • Minimum 5 years functional and/or technical and functional combined:
    • Experience of Supply Planning or related Supply Chain planning spaces.
    • Requirements definition/mapping.
    • Solution design experience.
  • Needs to have basic understanding of OPAL (OMP programming language). OMP certified is preferred.
  • Solid blend of business and/or technical capabilities, business operating models and underlying technical architectures.
  • Demonstrates process & technical knowledge of the core area supported as well as the areas integrating with their area. Understanding of end-to-end processes is a plus.
  • Consumer Products Industry experience desirable.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with both local and remote teams.
  • Progressive responsibility in SAP environment desirable.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to travel 50% or more as part of the role on a routine basis.
