Description & Requirements

This role will be the Logistics IT lead for KraftHeinz- responsible for the strategy- deployment- and ongoing management of KraftHeinz warehousing systems. KraftHeinz operates and maintains a portfolio of warehousing systems responsible for shipping- receiving- traceability- and reporting on all inventory and distribution activities across the company. Specifically- this role will be the primary project leader focused on the design and implementation of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)- Labor Management Systems (LMS)- and Yard Management Systems (YMS) solutions. This position will work closely with all internal and external business partners to understand future-state strategies and provide critical input and leadership for shaping all warehousing systems designs. This role will provide key direct management of external contracted resources and dotted line management of internal project resources.

Primary Responsibilities

  • This role will be the primary leader and global template owner for the development and implementation of KraftHeinz warehousing systems: WMS (SAP WM/eWM) and LMS (Rebus)
  • This workstream includes working with internal and external customers to collect business requirements and apply these requirements to systems design and implementation.
  • Direct leadership of external contractors responsible for systems project management- implementation- and integration
  • Direct ownership of all project financial governance and timeline details
  • Provide communications on all systems and project-related aspects within the role to senior leadership.
  • Provide strategic and tactical guidance to warehousing leadership on the direction and design of warehousing systems
  • Lead joint project team through solution shaping of systems enhancement.
  • Provide core project management over all aspects of systems implementation such as: blueprinting- financial estimation and tracking- communication- development- testing- training- and hypercare support.
  • Be the focal point for project issue identification and resolution.
  • Prepare conversion plan identifying all vital tasks- dependencies- responsible parties- and the timeline for successful implementation.
  • Primary leader for all onsite project hypercare coordination and issue resolution to steady-state business
  • Establish clear strategic life cycle priorities for the WMS- YMS- and LMS warehousing ecosystem.
  • Explore new warehouse technologies- build business cases where relevant- and present new insights to business leadership
  • Innovation of new capabilities within the existing solutions that will provide value within the Supply Chain
  • Provide
  • Document and maintain project plan in the tool (Project NOW)
  • Communicate effectively to all interested parties throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Information Technology- engineering-related field preferred)
  • 10+ years’ experience in logistics or information technology-related field
  • High standard of communication skills expected- both oral and written
  • High standard of proficiency in Microsoft tools Excel- Word- and PowerPoint
  • High standard of initiative and ability to work through issues expected
  • High standard of discipline and diligence in documenting work expected
  • High standard of organization to plan and complete tasks in priority order expected
  • Proven experience in a role on a software implementation project is advantageous
  • Proven experience with enterprise in WMS and LMS software very advantageous
  • Weekend and off business hours work is part of the role
  • Expected travel of approximately 40-50%
