Description & Requirements

The position of Manager- IT - Strategic Product Owner will have responsibility for creation and management of the product roadmap in support of the broader product strategy. This role will have a deep understanding of the target market / industry and build close relationships with key partners and functional accelerators to ensure that the team’s effort is aligned with overall strategy. A Product Owner handles dependencies with other team’s functions while identifying- building- and leading strategic partnership across the different teams. They are accountable overall for effective and accurate requirements gathering so that solution design primarily demonstrates out-of-the-box functionality that promotes scalability- sustainability- and simplicity. They also work closely within their team to ensure business value and user feedback is translated into new enhancements and requirements- as vital. The Product Owner will be accountable for specific business KPIs / outcomes based on the area of the product they are passionate about at Kraft Heinz.


  • Set adventurous and clear product strategy and vision and communicate it effectively to partners- the team- and the rest of the unit
  • End to end team output strategy from inception to production
  • Accountable for product specific KPIs once solution enters production and communicate regular tracking of key performance metrics to partners against product strategy and vision
  • Use market and industry knowledge to work with the agile team to translate user needs into user stories- acceptance criteria- and requirements for their team. Maintain a backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team
  • Works closely with the ServiceNow Platform Team to establish each product’s business value and support messaging- communication- and customer outreach as needed
  • Is a key role on Agile team(s) and works closely with the agile team- using ServiceNow Agile 2.0 and SAFe methodology
  • Lead- plan- analyze- implement and track project scope- schedule- budget and quality for various project delivery cycles.
  • Be an escalation point and provide project management support for key global projects.
  • Align key decisions with key business partners and leaders.
  • Proactively manage risks and resolve issues affecting release scope- schedule- budget and quality
  • Deliver project plans- commitments and changes including business requirements- QA plans- schedule- and scope changes
  • Maintain project status reporting
  • Manage external vendors to deliver projects on time- on budget and within scope.
  • Responsible for planning and advising the work of a group of individuals between teams at different locations- supervising their work- and taking corrective action when vital.
  • Ensuring clarity around priorities and goals for the entire functional area
  • Communicating financial and goal results and key performance indicators to leadership.


  • Bachelor's degree in technical field; Masters preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience working in product owner/management roles
  • 3-5 years of project management experience- solid understanding of project management principles preferred
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle- Past software development experience would be ideal
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident and skilled at guiding the team through organizational roadblocks to allow Sprints to be completed on time
  • Experience with agile development tools such as- Jira/Confluence- Azure DevOps is optional- ServiceNow Agile 2.0 is a plus
  • ServiceNow ITSM and SPM (ITBM) knowledge is a plus. Should be willing and capable to learn ServiceNow modules
