Manager, Internal Communications - Canada and North America Coffee (CANAC) at a glance...

We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Communicator to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. The Manager, Internal Communications- Canada & North America Coffee (CANAC) is located at our Queen’s Quay Terminal (QQT) office in Toronto.

You’ll be working in a successful team, alongside peers always trying to reach the next level. You’ll be reporting into the Head of People & Performance with close relationships to the CANAC Leadership team, North America Zone, and Global Communications teams.

The delivery of a comprehensive Internal Communications and Engagement Agenda for CANAC will be your primary responsibility, as well as the occasional external facing initiatives. You’re constantly looking for improvement activities within the current CANAC business and will bring your own creativity and passion to drive the Moments that Matter within our teams.

What's on the menu?

  • Working cross-functionally with the Global and North America Internal Communications Teams, Key Functional / Business Unit Stakeholders and the People & Performance team to align on communication goals and messaging for CANAC.

  • Creating and implementing the CANAC internal communications plan, working with the People & Performance team and North America Internal Communications team to ensure our communications plan aligns with our global and Business Unit strategy, and effectively communicates our Purpose, Vision and Values.

  • You will support in the planning and management of key organizational events such as Monthly Town Halls, Business Huddles, Business Unit Conventions, Canadian BRG (Business Resource Groups focused on DEI&B initiatives) and national events, etc. This includes working alongside internal collaborators to assist in planning and execution of key moments that matter.

  • Drive the timely and effective communications around organizational initiatives and announcements, ensuring all employees and stakeholders are effectively communicated with.

  • Develop content in partnership with North America Zone creative team for CANAC key channels, including weekly newsletters, senior leadership communications and messaging, and internal employees engagement channel. You will drive the development of forward-looking content in partnership with teams from across the BU, ensuring consistency of messaging and quality of all written and verbal content.

  • Partnering with our Senior Leadership, Talent Acquisition, and more you will develop effective communications across key business channels to promote our reputation as an employer of choice.

  • Experience managing internal and external communications, corporate communications, issues management and customer engagement, ideally in a fast-paced global commercial organization or in a client-facing role.

  • Experience in public relations or corporate communications.

  • Strong project management and leadership skills with outstanding organizational and planning skills.

  • General knowledge of various internal communications platforms, channels, and tools.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. You must have a strong command of the English language and the ability to simplify complicated messages. French language fluency would be an asset.

  • Comfortable communicating with all levels, and able to instill confidence in senior customers and peers.

  • Skilled in dealing with sensitive, complex and confidential issues and situations.

  • Confident in providing advice to senior business leaders, including message trainings, media / stakeholder briefings and coaching.

  • Commercially astute and able to align your objectives with that of the wider business

  • Self-motivated, able to work autonomously: a bias for action, reliable, excellent presentation skills.

  • Confident bringing new ideas.
