Description & Requirements

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team and lead the development of a demand planning tool tailored specifically for marketers. As the SME- you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in demand planning- marketing- and technology to design- build- and optimize a tool that enables effective demand forecasting and planning for commercialization teams. This role requires a deep understanding of marketing strategies- forecasting- data analysis- and technology solutions- combined with excellent communication and project management skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams- including marketing- demand planning- sales- finance- data analytics- and software development- to identify and define key features- requirements and functionalities of the demand planning tool.
  • Conduct in-depth research on existing demand planning tools- industry best practices- and emerging trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and work closely with the development and ui/ux teams to ensure the tool's successful implementation.
  • Support data scientists in driving the design and development of algorithms and models for demand forecasting- considering factors such as historical data- market trends- consumer behavior- commercialization-specific variables and integration to operational team requirements. 
  • Validate and refine the accuracy of demand forecasts by analyzing historical performance and incorporating feedback from stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure the tool's integration with relevant marketing data sources and systems- enabling real-time data insights and reporting capabilities.
  • Conduct and lead user testing and gather feedback from end user teams to identify usability improvements and refine the tool's user interface and functionality.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and support to internal stakeholders in change management including marketers- sales teams- and executives- by delivering insights- reports- and training sessions related to demand planning and the use of the tool.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends- technological advancements- and best practices in demand planning and marketing analytics to drive continuous improvement and innovation in the tool and associated processes. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working in demand planning- marketing analytics- or a similar role- preferably in a marketing-driven organization.
  • Strong understanding of marketing concepts- campaign lifecycles- and demand generation strategies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis- statistical modeling- and forecasting techniques.
  • Experience with demand planning tools- marketing automation platforms- and data visualization software.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and work collaboratively with software development- data science- date engineering and IT teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills- with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong project management skills- including the ability to prioritize tasks- manage timelines- and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills- both written and verbal- to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present insights to stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in all deliverables.

Office Collaboration & Hybrid Work Environment
