Description & Requirements

Global Business Services  is looking for an Accounting Manager to support the Reconciliation Center of Excellence team of 17.   This team will be a groundbreaking new team responsible for driving forth the definitions of reconciliation excellence and be the driving force behind ensuring accuracy for our Chief Accounting Officer.  Each member will be responsible for the management of reviews as well as collaborating with the business on best practices and defining templates which are not in existence today.  This role will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with the Global accounting/finance teams in order to develop a thorough understanding about critical components of our book of record.   This role will be used to promote the individual into various other segments of the business at the successful completion of this project.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Primarily point person to showcase status of reconciliation project and outlook for the fiscal year
  • Lead team of 17 from various business units- and ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Responsible for coordinating the assignments of duties for all team members
  • Communicate with Champions to keep track of Areas of financial concern
  • Coordinate with the Head of Internal Controls of appropriateness of various controls and lead discussions on more efficient control design
  • Standardize global reporting regarding the evaluation of reconciliation outside of the current practice

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance required
  • 4+ years of related accounting experience
  • SAP experience required
  • SEC and US GAAP knowledge- CPA (similar designation) required
  • Advanced abilities in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Technology savvy with demonstrated ability to learn systems and processes quickly
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Highly conscientious and proactively seeks to add value
  • Detail oriented and focused
  • Optimistic attitude and diligent problem solver
